Can I do an ultrasound during ovulation?

During the ovulation period, you can actually have a gynecological examination and a B-ultrasound examination, which will not cause any adverse effects. Generally speaking, the unsuitable time for a gynecological examination is during menstruation, so women should also understand these examination issues.

1. What is ovulation?

A woman's ovulation date is generally about 14 days before the next menstrual period. After the egg is released from the ovary, it can survive in the fallopian tube for 1-2 days, waiting for fertilization; the male's sperm can maintain its fertilization ability in the female's reproductive tract for 2-3 days, so it is easy to get pregnant through sexual intercourse a few days before and after the egg is released. To be on the safe side, we call the 5 days before and 4 days after ovulation, together with the ovulation day, a total of 10 days, the ovulation period.

2. Can I have a gynecological examination during ovulation?

Although the body temperature will temporarily rise during the ovulation period, it will not affect the gynecological examination. Therefore, gynecological examination can be done during this period, but care should be taken to avoid gynecological infection.

3. Can I do B-ultrasound during ovulation?

The ovulation period is about 10 days after the end of menstruation. During this period, the egg matures and is slowly discharged.

It is okay to have an ultrasound check during this period to check the development and discharge of the eggs. This ultrasound check will not affect the development and discharge of the eggs.

4. Can I do hysterosalpingography during ovulation?

Because the endometrium is thickened at this time, it is very easy to damage the endometrium when placing a catheter into the uterine cavity, leading to vaginal bleeding during and after the operation; when the contrast agent is injected, a small amount of endometrial tissue may be forced into the pelvic cavity, causing artificial endometriosis; if the postoperative vaginal bleeding lasts for a long time, it is easy to cause pelvic infection.
