How should urethritis be treated?

Urethritis is a common urinary tract disease that can occur in both men and women, but women are more likely to suffer from this disease. There are many reasons for urethritis. Once you have urethritis, it will lead to frequent urination and urgency. Severe patients may even have hematuria, which endangers their life safety. So, how should urethritis be treated?

1 In the early stages of the disease, the patient's various discomfort symptoms are mild and not very obvious. Sometimes they will just feel a dull discomfort. At this time, the patient can closely observe the condition, drink more water, urinate more to flush the urethra, or take diuretic and anti-inflammatory pills. It has a mild effect and can protect the body's vitality while playing an anti-inflammatory and analgesic role. In the early stages of the disease, it is very suitable for most patients.

2 If urethritis is not treated in time, the patient will experience obvious discomfort symptoms: difficulty urinating, burning pain, urgency, frequent urination, pain in the perineum and lumbosacral area, a feeling of falling in the lower abdomen, and even typical inflammatory manifestations such as chills and high fever.

3 At this time, patients should take antibiotics as soon as possible to improve and relieve various symptoms. It is best to choose intravenous administration to increase the concentration of the drug and the therapeutic effect. Regarding the problem of patient resistance to antibiotics, the appropriate type of antibiotic can be selected based on the results of the patient's drug sensitivity test and used for two to four weeks.

4. If the patient's treatment effect is not obvious during this period, the dosage of antibiotics can be increased. If the patient is cautious about using large doses of antibiotics, the treatment plan can be changed, such as traditional Chinese medicine treatment.
