How to treat bilateral ovarian cystic masses?

Bilateral ovarian mass will affect women's normal conception, so when facing this problem, women should pay attention to it and take surgical treatment if necessary, especially when any abnormal conditions occur in the body in life, they must pay attention to it.

1. The size and shape of the cervix are normal, with multiple cystic nodules of varying sizes visible inside. The largest one is 1.0*1.0 cm, which is a multiple cervical nabothian cyst; a cystic mass was found in the right LC, measuring 4.3*4.2*2.8 cm, which is a LC cyst.

2. Cervical cysts will affect the entry of sperm into the uterine cavity and affect conception. Generally, surgical removal is required for treatment.

LC is the place where eggs develop, mature and are discharged, and the follicles at different stages are in the LC cortex. If the LC is damaged, the development, maturation and discharge of eggs will be impaired, which will lead to infertility. LC cyst is a type of LC tumor, and its mechanism of causing infertility is related to interference with ovulation function. Some LC cysts with endocrine functions, such as LC thyroid tumor, LC granulosa-thecoma cell tumor, testicular blastoma, etc., can produce certain corresponding hormones due to the different tumor tissue components they contain, thereby interfering with the normal secretion of LC hormones and ovulation, resulting in symptoms such as amenorrhea, intrauterine bleeding, hirsutism and infertility. The probability of it causing infertility is very high.

3. LC cyst is a general term for LC cystic masses. Its harm to the body and its treatment depend on its nature. Generally speaking, if the cyst is less than 5 cm in diameter and there is no evidence of a tumor, it is mostly a functional cyst and can be closely followed up, that is, checked every 2-3 months, and the interval between checks can be adjusted according to the situation.

4. If the diameter of the cyst is greater than 5 cm, it is most likely a LC tumor, which generally requires surgical treatment. If it is accompanied by progressively worsening dysmenorrhea and pain during intercourse, and tender nodules in the pelvis, endometriosis (i.e., chocolate cyst) should be considered. Different treatments can be adopted according to the specific circumstances.
