Is the eczema getting better after the yellow discharge?

Eczema is a relatively common skin disease, which is mostly caused by allergies. When the condition is more serious, the skin will blister, causing symptoms of erosion and itching, and yellow fluid will flow from the affected area. This phenomenon does not necessarily mean that the condition is getting better. You must be vigilant and take timely medication. This situation is not the so-called detoxification phenomenon and requires timely conditioning and intensified treatment.

Treatments for eczema

If you suffer from eczema, timely treatment will help you recover faster. If it is not treated for a long time, it may develop into chronic eczema, which will make treatment more difficult. Therefore, if you suffer from eczema, you should seek timely treatment.

1. General treatment

①Try to find the cause of the disease as much as possible, isolate the allergen, and avoid further stimulation. Remove lesions and treat systemic chronic diseases such as indigestion, intestinal parasitic diseases, diabetes, mental and neurological abnormalities, varicose veins in the lower legs, etc.

② Pay attention to skin hygiene, do not use hot water or soap to clean skin lesions, and do not use irritating antipruritic drugs.

③ Avoid alcohol, spicy and irritating foods, avoid foods that are easy to cause allergies and difficult to digest, such as fish and shrimp, and pay attention to the relationship between diet and the onset of the disease.

④ When suffering from eczema, patients should pay attention to the combination of work and rest, and avoid excessive fatigue and excessive mental stress.

2. Internal therapy

Choose antihistamines to relieve itching, and use two together or alternately if necessary. Generalized eczema can be treated with oral or injected corticosteroids, but they should not be used for a long time.

3. Physical and radiotherapy

Liquid nitrogen cryotherapy, superficial X-ray or radionuclide (32P or 90Sr) application therapy, etc. can be used for chronic localized eczema with a long duration and stubbornness.

4. Topical therapy

Choose appropriate dosage form and medicine according to the condition of skin lesions. For acute eczema, local washing and wet compresses with normal saline, 3% boric acid or 1:2000-1:10000 potassium permanganate solution, and calamine lotion for astringency and protection. Subacute and chronic eczema should be treated with appropriate glucocorticoid creams, tar preparations or immunomodulators.

Prognosis

Eczema is a disease that is prone to recurrence and the course of the disease can be prolonged. Acute eczema can usually be cured after 2 to 3 weeks of treatment, while chronic eczema and subacute eczema can be cured after several weeks, but they are prone to recurrence.

How to treat eczema

1. Keep your skin clean and dry

When bathing your baby, it is advisable to use warm water and non-alkaline bath products to clean the baby's body. For babies with intertrigo, special attention should be paid to cleaning the folds of the skin. When taking a bath, the shower gel must be rinsed off.

After washing, wipe the moisture off the baby's body and apply a non-oily moisturizer to avoid hindering the normal breathing of the skin. The baby's hair should also be washed every day. If the baby has seborrheic dermatitis, washing the head carefully can remove the scabs. If the scab has hardened and stuck to the head, apply olive oil on the affected area and then wash it after a while.

At present, people can treat eczema through physical therapy, and there are necessary topical drug therapy. When treating eczema, it is necessary to keep the skin dry, especially when babies have eczema, they need to use certain moisturizers to prevent the drugs used for eczema from damaging the baby's skin.
