What are the symptoms of hair eczema?

What is often called hair eczema is actually scalp eczema. At this time, patients will often feel itchy on their head and sometimes can't help scratching. When scalp eczema occurs, there will generally be erythema, blisters, erosions and scabs. When itching occurs, medication should be used to relieve the itching and treat it in time to avoid worsening of the condition.

Scalp eczema refers to eczema which is an allergic disease with obvious exudation. The incidence of eczema has been on the rise in recent years, which is related to factors such as the abuse of chemical products, environmental pollution, poor management of the three wastes, the accelerated pace of life, and increased mental stress. Experts in treating scalp eczema recommend Jiang’s Weifu Cream, which is a Chinese herbal medicine formula with definite effects and will not recur after being cured. Patients with scalp eczema should pay more attention to their diet and avoid irritating the affected areas.

Clinical manifestations

Acute eczema

Acute eczema is often distributed in different areas, and the rash has various forms, such as erythema, papules, blisters, erosions, exudate and crusting. The itching is severe and scratching may cause infection. It can easily become chronic and recur.

Chronic eczema

Chronic eczema is more common on the limbs. The symptoms include thickening and roughening of the skin, which may present as lichenification, desquamation, pigmentation, and severe itching. It often develops acutely and can last for months to years.

The first type is blood-heat type eczema.

It is equivalent to papular eczema, which is mostly caused by internal accumulation of dampness and heat, and external invasion of wind, with heat being more severe than dampness.

The patient developed red rashes all over his body, which were extremely itchy and caused bleeding when scratched. The tongue is red, the tongue coating is thin white, and the pulse is stringy and slippery.

The second type is damp-heat type eczema.

It is more common in acute eczema, seborrheic eczema and the acute attack period of chronic eczema, and is mostly caused by blood heat and spleen dampness infiltrating the skin.

Patients have erythema and blisters with severe itching. The blisters are oozing with yellow fluid, which has a fishy and sticky smell. They may also form yellow scabs, erosions, and peeling. The urine is yellow and red, and the stool is constipated. The tongue is red, the tongue coating is yellow or greasy, and the pulse is slippery.

The third type is spleen dampness type eczema.

It is more common in subacute eczema or generalized eczema, which is mostly caused by dysfunction of the spleen, internal generation of dampness, and the formation of sores.

The patient's skin develops small blisters that are dull, not red, itchy and oozing, or there may be epigastric pain, poor appetite, sallow complexion, swollen legs and feet, loose stools, and slightly yellow urine. The tongue is pale, the tongue coating is white or greasy, and the pulse is slow.

The fourth type is eczema caused by damage to the yin.

It is more common in subacute eczema and generalized eczema, which is mostly caused by long-term water seepage, damaging yin and consuming blood, and causing wind due to dry blood.

The patient's skin is infiltrated, dry and scaly, with severe itching and slight water discharge. The tongue is red, the tongue coating is shiny, and the pulse is thin, stringy and slippery.

Apply wet compress twice a day, each time for 20 minutes. Please note that this medicinal wine is poisonous and should not be taken internally.
