The "Compendium of Materia Medica" written by Li Shizhen of the Ming Dynasty records that walnut kernels have the effects of "replenishing qi and nourishing blood, moistening dryness and resolving phlegm, benefiting the life gate, regulating the triple burner, warming the lungs and moistening the intestines, treating asthma and cough due to deficiency and cold, heavy pain in the waist and feet, hernia pain in the heart and abdomen, bloody diarrhea and intestinal wind".

Walnuts fried with brown sugar can nourish the stomach. Choose fresh walnuts, about 7 of them, smash the shells and take out the kernels, then chop them up. Fry them in a casserole over low heat until they turn light yellow. Add about 5 grams of brown sugar, stir a few times and serve. Eat while hot. Take it on an empty stomach every morning, and then eat and drink water half an hour later. This prescription needs to be taken continuously for 12 days without interruption. This prescription is only suitable for patients with chronic gastritis of yang deficiency type, and is not suitable for chronic gastritis caused by yin deficiency, dampness and heat, etc.

3. Peanuts

At the same time, there are records of nutritious breakfast with pine nuts in relevant books: take 30 grams of pine nuts, cook porridge with 100 grams of brown rice, add appropriate amount of white sugar, and eat it for breakfast every day, which has the effect of prolonging life.

Although pine nuts are good, they are not suitable for everyone. Patients with spleen deficiency, diarrhea and excessive phlegm should keep away from pine nuts. Since pine nuts are very oily and are a high-calorie food (every 100 grams of pine nuts can convert nearly 700 kilocalories in the body), eating too many will increase body fat. The appropriate amount of pine nuts consumed per day is 20-30 grams.
