What are the signs of myolysis?

What are the signs of myolysis?

Myolysis is actually an acquired disease that causes skeletal muscle damage, and patients also have symptoms such as acute renal failure and metabolic disorders. Therefore, the impact and damage it causes are actually quite large. Sometimes excessive exercise, muscle compression injury and ischemia can cause this disease, so we must understand the causes and take preventive measures in our lives.

1. Rhabdomyolysis, also known as rhabdomyolysis syndrome, refers to a series of genetic or acquired diseases that affect the skeletal muscle cell membrane, membrane channels and their energy supply, leading to skeletal muscle damage, changes in cell membrane integrity, and leakage of cell contents (such as myoglobin, creatine kinase, small molecules, etc.), often accompanied by acute renal failure and metabolic disorders.

2. The cause of rhabdomyosarcoma is very complicated. Foreign studies have pointed out that there are more than 190 acquired causes and more than 40 genetic causes. Common causes include excessive exercise, muscle compression injury, ischemia, metabolic disorders (hypokalemia, hypothyroidism, diabetic ketoacidosis), extreme body temperature (high fever, low fever), drugs, poisons, autoimmunity, infection, etc. Common genetic factors include creatine phosphodiesterase deficiency, botulinum toxin acyltransferase II deficiency and other causes. The main pathophysiological mechanisms include ischemic damage and ATP depletion, impaired sarcoplasmic reticulum calcium regulation, hypokalemia, and tissue oxidative stress. Among them, the direct damage of myoglobin to the kidneys is the most direct cause of acute renal failure.

3. When acute renal failure caused by rhabdomyolysis occurs, the pathology is acute tubular necrosis; the mechanism of occurrence is: ① tubular obstruction; ② tubular oxidative damage; ③ renal ischemia (including vasoconstriction and hypovolemia).
