Children may have long-term intermittent fever, cough up large amounts of purulent sputum or hemoptysis, and even lead to cor pulmonale. 4. Failure to cure with long-term treatment - Repeated attacks of bronchitis in children will turn into chronic bronchitis, or even emphysema and cor pulmonale.
