How to Detoxify Drug Allergy

How to Detoxify Drug Allergy

When people go for an infusion, the doctor will ask the patient if they are allergic to the medicine. Some people are aware of their allergies while others are not. Everyone must have some basic medical knowledge, know how to detoxify drug allergies, avoid drug allergies, and provide emergency treatment and rescue after people have drug allergies after taking drugs.

1. What to do if you are allergic to medicine

Drug treatment requires different measures according to the severity of the disease. For mild cases, take 1 to 2 antihistamines orally; inject 1g of vitamin C intravenously once a day; inject 10% calcium gluconate or 10% sodium thiosulfate 10ml intravenously for 1 to 2 days; apply calamine lotion, vibrating lotion or powder containing camphor or mint topically several times a day to relieve itching, dissipate heat, and reduce inflammation. Generally, recovery can be achieved in about a week.

Slightly more serious cases refer to those with more extensive rashes and accompanied by fever. Rest in bed; apply the above-mentioned medicines; take 20-30 mg of prednisone orally every day, divided into 3-4 times. Generally, full recovery can be achieved in about 2 weeks.

2. What can people with allergies eat?

Take red dates. Red dates contain a large amount of anti-allergic substance - cyclic adenosine monophosphate, which can prevent the occurrence of allergic reactions. Patients with allergic symptoms can take red dates regularly.

Drink honey. Drinking honey regularly can help keep away seasonal allergy symptoms such as colds, itching, and coughs. The reason why honey can prevent allergies is that it contains trace amounts of bee venom. Bee venom is a liquid in the body of bees and is clinically used to treat allergic diseases such as bronchial asthma. In addition, honey contains a certain amount of pollen grains. Drinking it regularly can produce a certain resistance to pollen allergies.

Eat carrots. The beta-carotene in carrots can effectively prevent allergic reactions such as pollen allergies and allergic dermatitis.

3. What should people with allergies not eat?

celery. Celery may trigger oral allergy syndrome, whose symptoms are not nasal congestion or sneezing, but itchy mouth or throat.

Spicy food. Have you ever had a sinus infection from eating something spicy? The capsaicin in peppers can cause allergy-like symptoms, such as nasal congestion, watery eyes, and sneezing.

Alcohol. Have you ever had a stuffy nose after drinking? Alcohol causes your blood vessels to dilate, which can make your face red and make allergic nasal congestion worse. If you already feel a little stuffy before drinking, you'd better put down the glass. Alcohol also contains some histamine, which is naturally produced during the fermentation process and can also exacerbate allergic reactions.

What are the first aid measures for drug allergy?

If an allergic reaction to a drug occurs, stop using the drug immediately and go to the hospital for treatment or emergency treatment as soon as possible. If the patient is far away from a hospital, he or she can be treated and rescued on the spot first. Then send to the hospital for further examination and treatment.

If angioedema or urticaria occurs, antihistamines should be given by intramuscular or intravenous injection, such as 10% calcium gluconate injection, vitamin C, dexamethasone, cyproheptadine, chlorpheniramine, Mindy, astemizole, dermatitis cream, 1% hydrocortisone ointment, camphor tincture, etc.

Once anaphylactic shock occurs, emergency rescue is required every second. Immediately make the patient lie down with his head down, and give 0.5-1.0 mg of 0.1% epinephrine subcutaneously or intramuscularly (reduce the dosage for children). You can also use 0.1-0.5 mg to be slowly pushed intravenously (diluted to 10 ml with 0.9% sodium chloride injection). If subcutaneous or intramuscular injection of epinephrine is not effective, 4 to 8 mg intravenous drip (dissolved in 500 to 1000 ml of 5% glucose) can be used instead. In case of breathing difficulties, 0.25-0.5 g of aminophylline can be slowly injected intravenously, and artificial respiration can be performed at the same time. Oxygen and warmth can be given as needed, and attention should be paid to maintaining respiratory and circulatory functions.

Before using highly allergenic drugs such as penicillin, cephalosporins, and norfloxacin, a skin test must be performed and must not be ignored just because there was no allergy in the past. In addition, people who have a history of drug allergies must inform their doctor before the doctor prescribes the medicine.

3. What vegetables are better to eat if you are allergic?

The formation of allergies is related to the lack of some minerals in the body. Eating more fresh vegetables can supplement the minerals that the human body lacks and enhance the physical fitness. You can eat more tomatoes and bitter gourds. Tomatoes contain a lot of vitamins and fruit acids that can supplement the vitamins needed by the human body. At the same time, fruit acids can protect the vitamins from being lost. Bitter gourd has the effects of relieving itching, removing dampness, clearing away heat and detoxifying, which is helpful for the treatment of skin allergies.

Eat more carrots and spinach, both of which are vegetables with high nutritional value and contain a lot of vitamins, which help prevent skin allergies.

Eat more bean sprouts and celery. These two types of food contain a lot of protein, carbohydrates, sugars, carotene, vitamin C, amino acids and other trace elements. Eating more of them can not only enhance your physical fitness but also prevent the occurrence of dermatitis.
