It is common in diseases such as perianal abscess, internal hemorrhoid incarceration, external hemorrhoid edema, and thrombosed external hemorrhoids. The swelling is high and the pain is severe, which is mostly caused by damp-heat blockage, and may be accompanied by chest tightness, abdominal distension, fatigue, heaviness, loss of appetite, fever, yellow and greasy tongue coating, and a weak and rapid pulse. It is common in perianal abscesses and external hemorrhoidal edema. Slight swelling and slight pain are usually caused by insufficient Qi and blood, Qi and Yin, and the combination of damp heat and deficiency with excess. They are often caused by perianal abscess with unclear symptoms or tuberculous perianal infection.

3. Prolapse

It is a common symptom of stage II and III internal hemorrhoids, rectal polyps, and rectal prolapse. Those who suffer from prolapse and cannot retract on their own are mostly due to qi deficiency and blood weakness, which causes the qi in the middle to sink and be unable to be retracted. They are accompanied by symptoms such as dull complexion, dizziness, palpitations, shortness of breath, spontaneous sweating, night sweats, pale tongue, and a deep, thready and weak pulse. Internal hemorrhoids that prolapse and become embedded outside the anus, causing redness, swelling, pain, and difficulty in repositioning are mostly caused by damp heat. 4. Pus discharge

Common in perianal abscess or anal fistula. Yellow, thick pus with a fecal odor is mostly caused by damp heat blocking the anus, which causes the flesh to rot and form pus. It is accompanied by fever, bitter taste in the mouth, heaviness and fatigue, loss of appetite, red urine, yellow or greasy tongue coating, and a stringy or rapid pulse. Pus is thin and has no odor, or has a slight fecal odor, and it keeps dripping. The wound is hidden, with cavities around it, and it is not easy to heal. This is mostly a symptom of qi and yin deficiency with damp heat, and may be accompanied by low fever, night sweats, sallow complexion, fatigue, poor appetite, pale red tongue, and a weak and thready pulse. ⒌ Constipation is a common symptom of hemorrhoids, anal fissure, perianal abscess, and anorectal cancer. Abdominal distension and pain, resistance to pressure, constipation, accompanied by bad breath, irritability, fever, dark urine, red tongue, dry yellow tongue coating, rapid pulse, etc., are mostly caused by excessive heat in the stomach and intestines. Abdominal distension and distension, which is relieved by pressing but has dry stools, is mostly caused by blood deficiency and dry intestines or spleen deficiency and poor functioning. The secretion is clear and thin without odor, which is mostly caused by rectal prolapse, internal hemorrhoids prolapse or anal fistula due to deficiency syndrome.
