Inflammation is a general term for a class of diseases, referring to diseases caused by various infections. When there is inflammation in the human body, various problems often occur, such as the growth of granulomas. Although granulation tissue may look inconspicuous, it often reflects that the human body has tumors, immune complexes in the serum, or is infected by bacteria or viruses. No matter what the problem is, it needs to be treated as soon as possible.
1. Introduction Granulomas are well-defined nodular lesions formed by localized infiltration and proliferation of macrophages and their evolved cells. The essence of granuloma is inflammation caused by delayed hypersensitivity reaction, and the main players in the immune response are macrophages and epithelial cells. Granulomas can therefore be defined as aggregates of macrophages and their derivatives (e.g., epithelioid cells, multinucleated giant cells), with or without the presence of other inflammatory cells. 2. Reasons
1. Tumori are similar to reticulum cell sarcoma or lymphoma, with neoplastic proliferation of atypical cells and mitotic phases, without necrotic blood vessels and multinucleated giant cells. The disease is limited to the nose and respiratory tract. In the late stage of the disease, the same lesions can be found in various parts of the body such as internal organs, lymph nodes and bone marrow. Therefore, it is very similar to the metastasis of malignant tumors. Some patients can be cured by radiotherapy, which is consistent with oncology. 2. Allergic reaction or autoimmunity causes immunoglobulin deposition in the capillary walls and immune complexes appear in the serum of patients in the active stage of the disease. The symptoms disappear when treated with immunosuppressants. Immunofluorescence tests revealed C3 and IgG in the basal membrane of the glomeruli. Electron microscopy showed coarse granular substances like immune complexes in the basement membrane, and the level of ring immune complexes was elevated; both are autoimmune diseases. 3. Bacterial and viral infection theory: Recent studies have found bacteria and virus bodies in cell culture of granuloma tissue and in patient serum, so it is believed to be related to bacterial and viral infection. 3. Prevention methods (1) Improve nutrition and strengthen physical fitness. (2) Prevent and control infection and improve one’s own immune function. (3) Avoid wind, cold and dampness, avoid excessive fatigue, avoid smoking and drinking, and avoid eating spicy food. Early diagnosis, understanding of the infection situation, clinical observation, early detection of damage to various systems, early treatment, and mainly control of infection. Pay attention to lesions of the lungs, kidneys, heart and skin, and the occurrence of secondary infections. In addition, the nervous system and digestive system may also be affected. The application of traditional Chinese medicine can regulate immunity, clear away heat and detoxify, and promote blood circulation and remove blood stasis. |
