Swollen lymph nodes after drinking alcohol

People who drink frequently need to be vigilant about lymphoma. Once they find symptoms of body pain or swollen lymph nodes after drinking, they need to consider whether they have lymphoma. Let’s take a look at some of the early symptoms of lymphoma so that we can make comparisons and references. If necessary, we need to go to the hospital for medical diagnosis.

What are the early symptoms of lymphoma? 1. Early lymphoma may cause painless and progressive enlargement of superficial lymph nodes. The main symptoms are swollen lymph nodes in the neck, armpits or groin, with cervical lymph node enlargement accounting for 60-80%, axillary lymph node enlargement accounting for 6-20%, and groin lymph node enlargement accounting for 6-10%. 2. Hodgkin's lymphoma often has irregular fever as an early precursor, accompanied by superficial lymph node enlargement. 3. Some Hodgkin's lymphoma patients may experience itching. Some are local itching, some are systemic itching. Systemic itching often occurs when there are lesions in the mediastinum or abdomen. Warning: If you experience unexplained long-term fever, night sweats, weight loss, or sudden painless lymph node enlargement, you must go to a regular hospital for examination in time to avoid missing the best time for treatment.

Lymphoma can be detected by feeling. When judging whether you have symptoms of lymphoma, it is best to pay attention to whether the superficial lymph nodes throughout the body are enlarged. The most common superficial lymph nodes that can be felt include the neck, submandibular, submental, supraclavicular, axilla, groin, etc. Usually, you can use your open hands to check whether there are lumps in these areas. If the lump appears suddenly, feels hard, is larger than two or three centimeters and continues to grow, you should go to the hospital as soon as possible. The doctor will be able to confirm whether it is lymphoma after a biopsy.

How to distinguish whether swollen lymph nodes are lymphoma? Our usual swollen lymph nodes are different from the lumps of lymphoma. There is no need to panic. Here is how to distinguish them: Inflammatory lymph nodes: They are usually accompanied by inflammation. The lymph nodes feel soft and painful. They will not grow any larger when they swell to about 3 centimeters. They will gradually disappear with the treatment of the inflammation. Tumor lymph nodes: The lumps are often round, feel rubber-like, and are mostly painless. The swollen lymph nodes will continue to grow and gradually merge into clumps.
