Focused ultrasound uses the properties of ultrasound waves that can penetrate human tissue and focus on a specific target area. It concentrates the energy to a sufficient intensity to achieve instantaneous high temperature and destroy the target tissue, which manifests as coagulative necrosis in tissue pathology, thereby achieving the purpose of destroying the lesion while leaving the tissue outside the lesion area undamaged. Focused ultrasound uses ultrasound as energy to transmit many beams of ultrasound from outside the body into the body. During the transmission process, they focus on one point, the tumor. Through the conversion of sound waves and heat energy, a high-temperature treatment point of 70℃ to 100℃ is formed within 0.5 to 1 second, causing coagulative necrosis of the tumor tissue, losing its ability to proliferate, infiltrate and metastasize, and ultimately killing cervical fibroids.

The advantages of focused ultrasound treatment for uterine fibroids are: 1. Quick recovery after surgery 2. Good tissue penetration and positioning performance, which can penetrate the surface tissue and focus the energy on the target tissue at a specific depth, producing biological effects and allowing the diseased tissue to recover quickly; 3. Moreover, after treatment, only the local tissue will have transient congestion and edema, and the surface cells can remain intact; 4. Non-invasive treatment of uterine fibroids is performed in vitro, without the need for surgery, surgical exposure or puncture guidance, and completely destroys the lesions in the body. It does not damage the tissue passed by the ultrasound or the normal structure outside the target area, and there is no radioactive damage.

It can be seen that the use of focused ultrasound to treat uterine fibroids is a better method for treating cervical fibroids. However, the use of focused ultrasound to treat uterine fibroids is risky: 1. Nerve damage; 2. Adverse reactions during sedation and analgesia; 3. Mild skin burns.
