Is the eczema getting worse?

The redness of eczema is not a sign of improvement, it may be worsening. We should use Chinese herbal medicine to apply and wipe the affected area to sterilize and disinfect the eczema area. We should not scratch the affected area with our hands and avoid skin irritation. When eczema improves, the skin usually becomes darker and gradually fades. Redness will cause blisters and erosions, so we should treat eczema in a timely manner.

If eczema turns red, it is not a sign of improvement. Generally, signs of improvement are that the color of the eczema becomes darker and blacker, and then slowly fades. Therefore, you should actively use medication for treatment. You can use Chinese herbal medicine, such as honeysuckle and dandelion. Boil them into water and wipe the affected areas of eczema. The effect is obvious. You should also keep your skin clean and dry at ordinary times, avoid adverse skin irritation, excessive scratching of the affected area with your hands, or exposure to strong light, or excessive cleaning of the affected area with soapy water or alkaline water, all of which should be avoided to avoid aggravating the condition. Wear clothes made of pure cotton, and avoid wearing clothes made of chemical fiber nylon to avoid irritating the skin. In terms of drug treatment, it can be treated with hormone-free, topical creams. Commonly used ones in clinical practice include vitamin E ointment, cod liver oil ointment, and lithospermum oil. These ointments have obvious clinical effects and have no side effects or dependence, so they can be used with confidence.

Just because eczema turns red does not necessarily mean it has improved, because the clinical manifestations of the disease itself are varied, including erythema, papules, blisters, erosion, exudation, itching, scabs and many other clinical manifestations. If it is chronic, it is a grayish-white change of keratinization. After the use of some topical medications for stimulation, it may turn red. In this case, if the itching symptoms are relieved and the degree of keratinization is reduced, it can be said that the eczema has improved by turning red. Otherwise, it may be a normal condition of eczema.

Atopic dermatitis, also known as "allergic eczema", is mainly caused by the stimulation of allergens on the allergic constitution, which in turn causes skin inflammation. This is a chronic allergic disease caused by genetic constitution. The rash of atopic dermatitis is a severely itchy, red maculopapular rash with exudate, which often becomes keratinized due to the patient's intolerable itching. Patients with this disease usually have dry skin, which is more prone to itching and flaking when the weather gets cold. If the patient scratches too much, bacteria may invade, infect and inflame the skin, resulting in blisters and scabs. Clean your home frequently, keep the air circulating, and stay away from allergens such as dust mites, cockroaches, mold, and pollen. Try not to come into direct contact with irritants such as perfume, disinfectant, detergent, preservatives, etc. Be careful not to eat foods that may cause allergies, such as eggs, milk, citrus fruits, nuts, shelled seafood, and peanuts.
