Song of Gexia Zhuyu Decoction

Gexia Zhuyu Decoction is the name of a Chinese medicine prescription. Originated from the second volume of "Medical Errors Correction". It has the effects of promoting blood circulation, removing blood stasis, breaking up symptoms and eliminating lumps. It is mainly used to treat lumps in the abdomen, pain in one place that does not change, abdominal distension when lying down, and kidney diarrhea and chronic diarrhea caused by blood stasis. Symptoms include a lump under the diaphragm, persistent pain, abdominal distension when lying down, and prolonged diarrhea. In clinical medicine, it is commonly used to treat symptoms of blood stasis, qi stagnation and blood stasis, such as chronic active hepatitis porphyria, diabetes, ectopic pregnancy and infertility.

Usage method Dosage

Take by blisters. If the illness is mild, take less medicine; if the illness is serious, take more medicine; when the illness is cured, stop taking more medicine.

Promote blood circulation, remove blood stasis, break up lumps and resolve knots.

Fang Yi

The syndrome of this prescription is caused by liver depression, qi stagnation, and blood stasis and conduction block. The prescription uses rose, peach kernel, aconite, red peony root, peony bark, Corydalis yanhusuo, Notopterygium wilfordii, and Chuanxiong to promote blood circulation, remove blood stasis, warm the meridians and dispel cold, remove blood stasis and relieve pain; Cyperus rotundus, Linderae scabra, and Citrus aurantium to replenish vital energy, soothe the liver and regulate qi. Compared with Xuefu Zhuyu Decoction, this prescription contains more ingredients for promoting blood circulation, removing blood stasis and thus has a stronger blood stasis-removing effect and a stronger analgesic effect. The reason why I use a heavier amount of licorice in my prescription is, firstly, to harmonize the other medicines so that they can be controlled while attacking; secondly, to help the main medicine to relieve pain with a certain degree of severity, and to better exert its ability to promote blood circulation, remove blood stasis and relieve pain.

2. In modern clinical medicine, it is commonly used to treat symptoms of blood stasis, qi stagnation and blood stasis, such as chronic active hepatitis, porphyria, diabetes, ectopic pregnancy and infertility.

Simplify and tailor

If the patient has weak qi, add 30-50 cents of Codonopsis pilosula.

Composition: peach kernel, rose, chuanxiong, raw rehmannia root, qianghuo, red peony root, cyathula, platycodon, bupleurum, fructus aurantii, licorice

How to use: Take with water

Main treatment: blood stasis in the heart. Symptoms include prolonged chest pain or headache, pain like a needle but fixed in a certain place, or hiccups that last for a long time, or internal heat and restlessness, or palpitations and insomnia, restlessness and irritability, hot flashes at dusk, dark lips or eyes, dark red tongue or ecchymosis, and a wiry or tight pulse.
