What’s going on with a lump growing near the corner of my eye?
Eye health is very important to people's bodies, and eye health is often threatened by various diseases or external forces. Among them, eye problems caused by diseases need people's attention. This is the most difficult to deal with and the most difficult to prevent. For example, what's the matter with a lump growing next to the corner of the eye? Let’s take a look at the explanation below, I hope everyone can understand it.

Xanthelasma palpebrarum is a metabolic disorder skin disease and the most common type of xanthomas. Xanthelasma are yellow or orange patches of skin caused by lipid deposits on the eyelids. It mostly occurs on the eyelids. Initially, it is as big as a grain of rice, slightly protruding from the skin, clearly separated from the normal skin, with irregular borders, and may even cover the entire eyelid. The cause is lipid metabolism disorder. Most patients have hyperlipoproteinemia and/or hypercholesterolemia. Blood lipid examination often shows hyperlipoproteinemia and/or hypercholesterolemia.

Clinical manifestations 1. More common in middle-aged people, especially women, with or without hyperlipidemia. 2. It often occurs at the inner canthus of the upper eyelid, and is a symmetrical, long, yellow or orange patch. 3. The rash is symmetrically distributed soft orange-yellow spots or plaques. 4. No subjective symptoms. Although there is no discomfort, it obviously affects the patient's appearance.

Treatment 1. Check for hyperlipidemia. 2. Pay attention to controlling your diet and eat a low-fat, low-cholesterol, and low-sugar diet. 3. It only affects the appearance. If there is no special condition, no treatment is required. If necessary, freezing, laser, etc. can be used. In traditional treatment, oral Chinese patent medicine is taken to regulate the body's immune function and solve the problem of low immunity; then Chinese medicine powder for removing warts is applied externally to promote blood circulation and remove blood stasis, soften and disperse nodules, clear away heat and detoxify, and soften warts. Taking it internally and treating it externally can achieve the effect of treating the same thing at the same time. 4. Laser therapy: Many different injectable drugs are now injected into the tumor in an attempt to achieve the purpose of treatment by changing the biological characteristics of the tumor. In fact, many of them are attempts without obvious statistical effectiveness. They are only local subject research and hope to have good results. However, some cases appear to spread in a cloud-like manner after injection, and there is currently no follow-up dynamic observation and annotation.
