I have stomachache all the time recently. What's going on?

If you have been experiencing stomach pain recently, there are many factors that may be causing this. For example, if you have been under great pressure at work or in life recently and have become too nervous, this situation will occur. In addition, if your diet has been irregular recently, such as often skipping meals or simply not eating, the frequency of stomach pain will increase. If you have recently suffered from gastritis, this situation may also occur.

1. The location of the pain: The stomach is located in the upper abdomen, in the depression below the sternum and above the navel (close to the pit of the stomach). If the abdomen is divided into four areas, pain in the upper middle part of the left side is most likely stomach pain. However, it may also be caused by diseases of the esophagus, duodenum, gallbladder, liver or pancreas, so the duration of pain, accompanying symptoms, etc. are also needed as criteria for judgment. 2. Pain time: Does stomach pain occur after or before meals? After eating certain foods? Or when you are too hungry, too full, or overeating? Since stomach discomfort is mostly closely related to eating, it is more accurate to use the time, habits, content, and type of eating as the criteria for identification.

3. Observe the symptoms. Stomach discomfort is accompanied by various symptoms, such as hiccups, bloating, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, chest tightness, etc. Since each disease manifests itself in different symptoms, if accompanied by chest tightness, heartburn, vomiting acid, hiccups and other symptoms, it may be an esophageal disease; if accompanied by empty stomach pain, fullness and hunger pain, sour hiccups, or even vomiting blood, it may be a gastric ulcer, but if there are hiccups, jaundice, fever and other symptoms, it may not be related to the stomach, but may be a problem with the gallbladder. Therefore, the symptoms associated with abdominal pain cannot be ignored.

4. Go to the hospital for examination. If the situation is complicated and it is difficult to determine where the discomfort is, when it occurs, and the nature of the pain, you should go to the hospital immediately and ask a doctor to help with diagnosis and examination. This is the most direct and accurate method.
