My wrist hurts, what should I do?

In daily life, we will encounter many bumps and bruises, which is inevitable, but these bumps and bruises will also bring great troubles to our lives, because each bump will leave a small wound, and serious ones will also cause fractures, sprained ankles, sprained hands and other consequences, so we must be careful in everything. If you accidentally sprain your wrist in life and your wrist hurts, what should you do? If the condition is very serious, you should go to the hospital for treatment immediately. Let's take a look at the treatment methods.

What should I do if my wrist hurts after spraining it?

There are two main reasons for wrist pain: one is soft tissue contusion; the other is bone and joint injury.

1. You can do the first step of the wrist exercise, clench your fist, then loosen your fingers, and repeat this many times. The second step is to make a fist with your hand straight down and rotate your wrist clockwise and counterclockwise. (Remember, your arms don't move when you turn, just your palm drives your wrist to turn) Step 3, relax and shake your hands. Step 4: Extend your right arm forward in front of your chest and make a fist with your palm facing downward. Grasp the right wrist with your left hand (keep the right arm still) and rotate your right hand clockwise and counterclockwise 5 times each. Then switch to the left hand. Remember to turn slowly, clench your fists and turn hard, no matter how painful it is. And be sure to rotate your hands 360 degrees for this to be effective.

2. After spraining your hand, try not to move the injured hand any further. If conditions permit, you can use a bandage to fix it to reduce the degree of swelling.

3. Avoid massage within 24 hours after injury. Apply cold compress repeatedly 3 to 5 times, preferably once every 2 hours. This is because the local capillaries are still in a ruptured state within 24 hours after the sprain. Cold compress will promote vasoconstriction. Some sprays can also be used to help stop bleeding and relieve pain.

4. After 24 hours, use warm water for hot compress, twice a day. After 24 hours, hot compress can invigorate blood circulation and remove blood stasis, promoting the absorption of blood stasis.

5. After spraining your hand, it is best to see a specialist doctor immediately to avoid any future complications.
