Where is the trachea located?
The trachea is an important part of the human body and part of the respiratory system, and plays a vital role in our life safety. In life, due to weather changes, seasons and some external stimuli, many people often suffer from bronchitis. After suffering from bronchitis, patients will obviously feel difficulty in breathing, which will have a certain impact on their life and work.

Where is the trachea? 1. The trachea is a tube connecting the larynx and the bronchi. It is not only a passage for air, but also has the functions of defense, removal of foreign matter, and regulation of air temperature and humidity. The trachea is a circular tube with a slightly flat posterior wall. It is 11 to 13 cm long in adults. The upper end is level with the upper edge of the 7th cervical vertebra and connected to the larynx. The lower end is equivalent to the junction of the 4th and 5th thoracic vertebrae. It is divided into left and right bronchi, and the bifurcation is called the tracheal fork. 2.The trachea can be divided into two parts according to its location: the cervical section and the thoracic section. The cervical segment is relatively short, running downward along the midline of the anterior neck. It is covered by the sternohyoid muscle and sternothyroid muscle in front, and there is a thyroid isthmus crossing in front of the 2nd to 4th tracheal cartilages. It connects with the esophagus in the back, and the inferior laryngeal nerves ascend in the grooves on both sides between the esophagus and trachea. There are the left and right lobes of the thyroid gland and the great blood vessels in the neck on both sides of the trachea.

The dietary adjustment for patients with tracheitis is to eat more foods that moisten the lungs: the purpose is to relieve cough and relieve lung discomfort. It mainly includes black fungus, white radish, kelp, lotus root, bamboo shoots, loofah, pear (cut into pieces and add appropriate amount of white sugar, steamed and consumed), peanuts, walnuts, etc. In addition, patients can drink honey water frequently to moisten the throat and lungs. Eat more vegetables and fruits: Vitamin A protects the respiratory mucosa, and vitamin C can enhance immunity and effectively prevent respiratory infections, so it is important to supplement both in time. There are many vegetables and fruits of this type, such as cherries, pomegranates, mangoes, kiwis, carrots, tomatoes, cabbage, rapeseed, cucumbers, winter melons, etc., which can clear phlegm and reduce heat.

Drink more water: Replenishing water in time and increasing fluid intake can correct or prevent water loss, and can also dilute sputum to promote its elimination. Patients should drink more boiled water and add an appropriate amount of honey (1 teaspoon is appropriate to avoid excessive sweetness). Eat more protein-rich foods: mainly high-quality protein, such as milk, eggs, fish, various lean meats, soybeans and soy products, etc.; while supplementing protein, patients should consume an appropriate amount of carbohydrates, such as potatoes, peas, lentils, rice, cornmeal, grapes, peaches, etc. Avoid fried and spicy foods: Fried and other greasy foods are difficult to digest, can easily cause internal heat, and burn body fluids, which can cause dampness and phlegm, block the lungs, and worsen coughing and asthma. Spicy foods such as chili peppers, onions, raw garlic, pepper, etc. can cause heat and phlegm after eating, and can irritate the bronchial mucosa, causing local edema and worsening cough and asthma. Therefore, patients with chronic bronchitis should avoid eating fried and spicy foods.
