The most effective method for pregnant women to induce labor

Once ten months are up, it is almost time for the pregnant woman to give birth. However, some pregnant women have difficulty in giving birth and cannot give birth to the baby smoothly after a long time, and finally have to undergo a caesarean section. Some women are completely capable of giving birth naturally, but due to their lack of experience, they may not be able to give birth or the baby may move downwards. What should they do? Doctors will often choose to induce labor, so what is the most effective method for pregnant women to induce labor?

If you have reached the point of "ripeness" (40 weeks) and can tolerate it, then continue to wait patiently. The baby will most likely decide to come out soon. If you really want to start labor earlier, you can choose between the following two methods: natural induction of labor and doctor's assistance.

There are several ways to induce labor naturally: Walking uses gravity and the movement of your hips, and as you walk, the baby may press down on your cervix, causing the body to start contractions. If you're already having contractions or labor pains (and your water hasn't broken), walking can help you feel more comfortable and sometimes even help your labor progress.

Tips: Don’t walk too hard, this is just the prelude, you still need to conserve your energy for the battle later!

The long ten months of pregnancy make us feel that we will be pregnant for the rest of our lives. But once we got used to it, time passed so quickly that on the eve of due date, I couldn’t believe that I was really going to be a mother!

"Am I really ready?" When you find that you are not fully prepared, you will hope that the time of delivery can be postponed. This emotional resistance may subconsciously hinder delivery.

Tips: If you have various anxieties after the arrival of the baby, communicate with your family or doctor. Their support can make you less anxious.

If your baby is in a breech or transverse position, positioning exercises can be used to help adjust the baby to a head-up position to facilitate delivery.

The "fetal position training method" was invented by Dr. Juliet Desa Souza. Within 2 to 3 weeks, about 89% of breech fetuses can be successfully turned. Maintain this pose for 10 minutes, twice a day. Because the pelvis is higher than the abdomen, the fetal head can float, stimulating the fetus to rotate and move the fetal head upward into the pelvis.

Method 1: Lie on your back with your knees bent. Place 4 pillows or cushions under your hips to raise your pelvis above your abdomen.

Method 2: Get on your knees and raise your hips as high as possible while resting your face on your bent arms.

Tips: Check with your doctor before using this method. Exercise on an empty stomach, focusing on relaxing your abdomen while watching the fetus move, repeat for 10 minutes, twice a day.

You may not want to have sex during your late pregnancy, but it actually has its benefits. (For information about safe sex, please click on this article "What should pregnant women do if they want to have sex on Valentine's Day? Do it!")

Sperm is rich in prostaglandins, hormones that soften the cervix (put down the jasmine bud tea and raspberries!), sexual intercourse can help push the cervix into labor, and sex organs can stimulate uterine contractions.

Enjoy it! If sex causes labor, that's awesome! If not, it will make you feel pretty good.

Tips: Leaving a few hours between sexual intercourse may bring better results. If you have experienced premature birth, it is not advisable to have sex in the late pregnancy unless you want to induce labor.

Many women abroad use castor oil to help induce labor, and it has been passed down from generation to generation. Castor oil will usually empty your intestines within 3 hours, and the uterus is surrounded by the intestines, and intestinal spasms may stimulate uterine contractions. If you're already in labor, this may also make your contractions more intense.

The side effects of this method are: castor oil can cause diarrhea, and in severe cases even convulsions and vomiting.

Tips: If you want to drink castor oil, you can mix 30-120ml of castor oil with 180ml of orange juice to drink, which is not so greasy. It's best to drink it quickly because it doesn't taste very good.

Stimulating your nipples for a few hours each day can cause your body to release the natural hormone oxytocin, which can induce uterine contractions.

Side effects of this method: It may cause overly strong and prolonged uterine contractions, which can cause blood flow to the fetus. Moreover, long contractions mean that your uterus may not get proper rest between each contraction, which can cause the fetus to lack oxygen and cause intrauterine distress.

Tips: Be sure to talk to your doctor before trying nipple stimulation to induce labor.

Raspberry leaves, blue cohosh, and black cohosh are all legendary tools for inducing labor. Some people believe that blue cohosh can increase the strength of contractions, while black cohosh can adjust their frequency, and that the two herbs are more effective when used together.

But there have been no scientific studies to determine the safety and effectiveness of these herbs.

Tips: No studies have proven the safety of these herbs, so don't take any medication without expert advice.

Insert a gloved finger into the cervix, scrape the amniotic membrane, and push it away from the edge of the cervical os.

Trials have shown that this method can sometimes induce labor.
