Symptoms of cystitis

Symptoms of cystitis

Cystitis is a relatively common inflammation of the urinary system. After suffering from cystitis, a variety of symptoms will appear. The most common ones are frequent urination, urgency, and pain when urinating. Sometimes the inflammation is more serious and can cause hematuria, which often makes the patient feel extremely tired, weak, and lose weight, etc. At this time, timely treatment must be carried out to avoid affecting other tissues and organs.

Symptoms of cystitis

Cystitis is an inflammation of the bladder, mainly caused by specific and nonspecific bacterial infections, as well as other special types of cystitis. Specific infection refers to bladder tuberculosis. Nonspecific cystitis is caused by Escherichia coli, Escherichia coli, Proteus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Streptococcus faecalis and Staphylococcus aureus.

Its clinical manifestations are acute and chronic. The former has a sudden onset, with a burning sensation during urination and pain in the urethra area. Sometimes there is urinary urgency and severe urinary frequency. Common in women. Terminal hematuria is common, and in severe cases there is gross hematuria and blood clots. The symptoms of chronic cystitis are similar to those of acute cystitis, but there is no high fever. The symptoms may last for several weeks or occur intermittently, causing the patient to feel weak, emaciated, and have discomfort or dull pain in the waist, abdomen, and bladder perineum.

1. Acute cystitis:

The disease often starts suddenly, with burning pain in the urethra during urination, frequent urination, often accompanied by urgency, which can be similar to urinary incontinence in severe cases. The frequency and urgency of urination are often particularly obvious, reaching 5 to 6 times per hour or more, with a small amount of urine each time, even only a few drops. There may be lower abdominal pain at the end of urination. The urine is turbid and sometimes hematuria is present, often evident in the terminal stage.

There is mild tenderness over the suprapubic bladder area. Some patients may experience mild low back pain. When the inflammatory lesions are limited to the bladder mucosa, there is often no fever or leukocytosis in the blood, the systemic symptoms are mild, and some patients feel fatigued. The course of acute cystitis is relatively short. If treated promptly, the symptoms will disappear in about 1 week.

2. Chronic cystitis:

Symptoms of frequent urination, urgency, and pain during urination are long-term and recurrent, but not as severe as in the acute phase. There are small or moderate amounts of pus cells and red blood cells in the urine. If cystitis is treated promptly, the symptoms will disappear quickly. At this time, patients should not take it lightly, but should persist in treatment and stop only after the doctor confirms through examination that the cystitis has been cured. Do not let cystitis become chronic.
