Bad breath is a very embarrassing thing. When you meet someone and he is talking about life, the bad smell coming out of his mouth spreads along with his words. How would that feel? I believe that in real life, many people are afraid to contact their close ones or “speak out” in public because of bad breath. Many people say that after having their tonsils removed, they solved the bad breath problem that had troubled them for a long time. So what is going on? Bad breath is caused by an imbalance in the bacterial flora. Long-term chronic inflammation of the nasopharynx and throat destroys the epidermal mucosa, causing the bacteria that cause bad breath to multiply in large numbers in the mucosal secretions of the nasopharynx and even the upper respiratory tract, causing bad breath. These bacteria are very stubborn and difficult to kill. Repeated inflammation of the nasopharynx and throat creates a breeding ground for these bacteria that cause bad breath. This is why every patient with bad breath can be effectively treated by taking triple or quadruple antibiotics when they first start treatment. The relapse after stopping the medication is due to two reasons: one is that the bacteria are stubborn and cannot be completely killed; the other is that the inflammation in the nasopharynx cannot be completely cured. The breeding ground for bad breath bacteria is still there. Even if they are killed, external invaders will still multiply quickly. Once the tonsils are removed, the nose and throat will naturally no longer be irritated by tonsillitis, and in theory there will be no breeding ground for bacteria. . However, there are very few or even almost no cases where the growth of bad breath bacteria is caused only by tonsillitis. Most people also have chronic pharyngitis and rhinitis. That is to say, even if the tonsils, which cause inflammation, are removed, the existence of chronic pharyngitis, rhinitis and other inflammatory factors will not eliminate the symptoms of long-term inflammation in the nasopharynx, break the breeding ground for bad breath bacteria, and restore the normal function of the upper respiratory tract mucosa. Bad breath caused by the nasopharynx is the most stubborn and difficult to treat, because chronic pharyngitis and rhinitis are currently recognized as incurable immortal cancers. Unless you only have tonsillitis and no chronic pharyngitis or rhinitis, you can't get rid of bad breath by removing your tonsils. Bad breath can be cured by finding a drug or method that can kill the bacteria that cause bad breath, removing the breeding ground for the bacteria to grow again, and restoring the function of the mucosal cells in the nasopharynx and upper respiratory tract. Removing the tonsils obviously will not achieve the desired result unless the condition is very mild and has not yet caused chronic pharyngitis. |
