Why do warts appear on breasts?

If a woman finds warts on her breast, she must pay attention. This may be caused by molluscum contagiosum. There may be no symptoms of pain or itching, but she must go to the hospital for examination and receive regular treatment in time, because this type of molluscum contagiosum is contagious. If the woman is breastfeeding, she may transmit this skin disease to the child. There are many treatment methods, such as laser surgery. You should also pay attention to disinfection. Your personal belongings and daily necessities must be disinfected.

How to treat warts

1. Use external medication for treatment: If the skin damage is severe or physical therapy cannot be used, you can choose medications according to different situations. Commonly used medications include 0.05%~0.1% retinoic acid ointment, 5-fluorouracil ointment (will cause pigmentation, do not use on the face), 3% phenolbutamine, etc.

2. Physical treatment: If the skin lesions are small, physical therapies such as freezing, electrocautery, scraping, and laser can be used.

3. Systemic drug treatment: Immunomodulators can be used; traditional Chinese medicine that clears away heat and detoxifies, disperses wind and calms the liver, and disperses nodules also has a certain effect.

4. Common warts are a skin disease caused by a virus and are contagious to a certain extent. This is one of the dangers of common warts. Since common warts often occur on the hands and feet, warts on the hands are more likely to come into contact with other parts of the body.

Why do warts appear?

According to traditional Chinese medicine, warts are caused by insufficient yin and blood, lack of nourishment to the liver, disharmony of qi and blood, dryness of blood, and emission of tendon qi to the skin, or invasion of wind and toxic evil, which blocks the meridians and condenses on the skin.

The course of warts is closely related to the body's immunity. The incidence of warts increases in patients with immunodeficiency, such as kidney transplant recipients, malignant lymphoma, chronic lymphocytic leukemia, and lupus erythematosus. However, the mechanism by which warts persist in relatively healthy people is still unclear.

In addition to common warts, there are other types of warts such as flat warts and genital warts. Modern medicine believes that warts are viral skin diseases. Common warts, flat warts, and genital warts are all caused by papillomaviruses. All three have pathological changes such as hyperkeratosis of the epidermis, thickening of the stratum spinosum, and elongation of skin processes. Molluscum contagiosum is caused by the molluscum contagiosum virus (a poxvirus), and is characterized by the presence of molluscum bodies and degeneration in the epidermal cells.
