(1) Semen volume: Normal is 2 to 6 ml.

(2) Color: Normally off-white or slightly yellow.

(3) Acidity and alkalinity: The normal pH value of semen is 7.2-8.0.

(4) Liquefaction time: After normal semen is ejaculated, it becomes a jelly under the action of seminal vesicle coagulase. After 15 to 30 minutes, it becomes a liquid under the action of prostate liquefaction enzyme. This is semen liquefaction.

(5) Viscosity: When a glass rod is placed in contact with liquefied semen and gently lifted, a semen thread will be formed. Normally, its length is less than 2 cm.

(6) Sperm count: Normal count ≥ 20 million/ml.

(7) Proportion of sperm with normal morphology: The proportion of sperm with normal morphology is ≥50%.

(8) Motility: ≥50% of sperm move rapidly forward in a straight line.

(9) Survival rate: usually refers to the examination within 1 hour after ejaculation, with live sperm ≥50%.

(10) White blood cells: Normal semen contains 1 million white blood cells/ml
