Where to get rid of dampness and moxibustion

People with heavy dampness usually feel exhausted, heavy, uncomfortable all over, lack of energy, poor complexion, no appetite, feel full after eating a little, have difficulty defecating, etc. Some traditional treatments are quite effective in removing dampness. Usually there are acupoints such as Zusanli and Quchi that can be used, but attention should be paid to the location and distance.

Poor gastrointestinal function is one of the external manifestations of spleen deficiency. Because people nowadays are under great pressure in life and often have irregular diets, this is one of the main causes of spleen deficiency. Spleen deficiency must not be ignored. In addition to regulating your eating and living habits, moxibustion is also a good way. The main moxibustion points are: Jiexi, Sanyuan and Hegu, etc.

The Jiexi point is located at the concave point of the instep and ankle joint. This acupoint is used to eliminate phlegm and dampness throughout the body, and is very effective in relieving edema of the lower limbs. Moxibustion on the Jiexi acupoint for 15 minutes every day for a period of time can effectively remove dampness.

Guanyuan acupoint is located 3 inches below the navel and is an acupoint for health care. Long-term moxibustion or moxibustion on the Guanyuan acupoint helps to regulate qi and blood, nourish the kidneys and consolidate essence. You can do moxibustion for 10-15 minutes every day to help remove dampness.

Zhongwan point is located on the midline of the abdomen, 4 inches above the navel. Moxibustion for 10-15 minutes every day can effectively relieve the symptoms of stomach discomfort and help remove dampness.

Hegu point is the master switch of the large intestine meridian. There is a saying that "Hegu acupoint is the point where the face is relieved". When there are red blood streaks on the facial skin, you can apply moxibustion on the Hegu acupoint, which has a good relieving effect.

Hegu point has the function of raising the clear and lowering the turbid, and promoting the circulation of Qi and blood, but people with poor physical constitution should not be given strong stimulation, and pregnant women should avoid it even more.

Spleen deficiency and dampness and heat will affect each other. Moxibustion can relieve spleen deficiency and clear away dampness and heat. Although moxibustion can be performed with the help of family members, in addition to finding the correct acupoints, you must also pay attention to the moxibustion distance at all times to avoid unnecessary burns.
