Anal eczema caused by hemorrhoids

Anal eczema caused by hemorrhoids

Hemorrhoids are an anal disease caused by pathological enlargement of the lower part of the rectum. Hemorrhoids are a very common disease. There are three main types of hemorrhoids. In the early stages of hemorrhoids, patients generally do not feel much, but if they do not pay attention to their diet, it can easily cause symptoms such as bloody stools. Hemorrhoids can also cause anal eczema, which is a type of eczema. It is itchy and unbearable when it occurs. So what causes anal eczema caused by hemorrhoids?

1. Be careful that untreated hemorrhoids may lead to perianal eczema: Can hemorrhoids cause anal eczema? The answer is yes. When you suffer from internal hemorrhoids, the hemorrhoids will prolapse, causing anal secretions to increase. The secretions discharged from the intestines or the secretions from the anal glands will irritate the local skin of the anus, thus forming anal eczema. However, the causes of anal eczema are not just internal hemorrhoids.

2. Anal eczema is a common allergic skin disease in anorectal medicine. The lesions are mostly limited to the anus and the skin around the anus, and may also extend to the perineum and external genitalia. Common symptoms of anal eczema include itching, wet anus, and polymorphic rash.

(1) Itching

The patient feels severe itching in the anus and perianal skin, and consciously or unconsciously wipes the area with his hands through his underwear, and then he feels slightly relieved;

(2) Wet anus

It is caused by the secretion of eczema. In mild cases, the anus is damp all day long, with a fishy smell, and the underwear becomes yellow and hard. In severe cases, the underwear sticks to the anus and needs to be torn off by hand frequently. It is especially aggravated at night.

(3) Polymorphic rash

The rash has various manifestations. Initially, it manifests as redness and swelling of the affected skin, which spreads to the healthy skin. Then, scattered or flaky millet-sized papules appear. As the rash continues to develop, the papules are filled with serous fluid, forming papules or blisters, which form pustules after infection. After the pustules rupture, the sore surface exudes and erodes. After the exudate dries, a scab is formed. Due to the long course of the disease and repeated stimulation by secretions, the skin of the anus and perianal area often becomes thickened, leathery, and cracked.
