Types of acne scars

Types of acne scars

Acne scars are mainly caused by acne. The main reason is endocrine disorders during adolescence, which cause blockage and inflammation of hair follicles, and finally form scars. There are many types of scars, such as common acne, infant acne, necrotic acne, etc. According to the different types of scar acne, corresponding methods should be taken in time to treat them. In daily life, we should emphasize nourishment and have a regular life.

Types of acne scars

(1) Acne vulgaris

The specific manifestations are the same as before. Most symptoms gradually alleviate and eventually disappear after puberty. However, those with pustules, nodules, abscesses, and cysts often leave depressed or hypertrophic scars after healing.

(2) Acne conglobata

The rash may occur on the face, upper chest, back, buttocks, and thighs. The lesions may be comedones, papules, pustules, cysts, and fistulas that rupture and ooze pus, or they may be deeper acne nodules that aggregate and fuse to form large infiltrates. The skin appears bluish-purple, and the acne scars formed after healing are noticeable scars. (3) Necrotic acne

It is caused by secondary infection of staphylococci, with a high incidence age of 30 to 35 years old. The rash mainly occurs on the hairline of the forehead, and in a few patients it may also occur on the chest and back. The lesions are papules with an umbilicus on the top. After suppuration, pustules are formed and necrosis occurs, leaving depressed scars after healing.

(4) Miliary necrotizing acne

Also caused by Staphylococcus infection. The rash often occurs on the hairline of the forehead, and the lesions are mostly blisters and pustules, which may leave acne scars after healing. (5) Baby acne

It can occur in infants between 3 months and 2 years old, and is more common in boys. There is often an obvious family history. The rash occurs on the face, with blackheads, papules and pustules, and occasionally nodules and cysts. Blackhead lesions disappear within a few weeks, and papules and pustules can heal within 6 months, leaving behind crater-like scars. (6) Tropical acne

Acne that occurs in areas of high temperature and humidity. The lesions may affect the back, shoulders, neck, arms, thighs and buttocks and are mainly nodules and indurated cysts. The acne scars left behind are permanent scars.
