Paris polyphylla treats stomach problems

Paris polyphylla is an uncommon plant, but it has certain medicinal value. Reasonable use of Paris polyphylla can solve many health problems of the human body. For example, Paris polyphylla can treat snake bites, otitis media, scrofula, unknown swelling and pain, bruises, hemangioma and other diseases, but it cannot treat stomach problems. Below, we will introduce in detail the medicinal shape, identification method and prescription selection of Paris polyphylla.

1. Properties of medicinal materials

Paris polyphylla is nodular, flat and cylindrical, slightly curved, 5 to 12 cm long and 1.0 to 4.5 cm in diameter. The surface is yellow-brown or gray-brown, and the peeled-off part is white; it is densely covered with layered and raised coarse ring patterns, one side has obvious nodules, with oval sunken stem scars on the nodules, and the other side has sparse fibrous roots or warty fibrous root scars. The top has the remains of scale leaves and stems. The texture is solid, the cross section is flat, white to light brown, powdery or horny. Odorless, slightly bitter and numb taste.

Cultivation tips: Prefers cool climate and humid environment. It is best to use sandy loam or humus loam that is deep, loose, fertile, moist and well-drained. It is not suitable to plant in heavy clay, low-lying and waterlogged areas. Propagates by seeds and rhizomes. Seed propagation uses the seedling transplanting method; rhizome propagation is carried out at harvest.
