What is the cause of cervical fever?

Nowadays, many people cannot do without computers when they work and often sit in front of computers for several hours, which can easily cause cervical spondylosis. When cervical spondylosis occurs, it is very difficult and painful for patients to turn their necks. Some people with cervical spondylosis often feel heat in their cervical spine. So, what exactly is causing cervical spine fever?

Cervical spondylosis is also known as cervical bone hyperplasia or cervical degeneration. The main clinical manifestations are headache, dizziness, and numbness of the upper limbs. It generally does not cause internal fever in the body. Only when the pain lasts too long and causes irritability and poor sleep will it cause internal heat. In severe cases, cervical spondylosis can cause vomiting after meals and induce high blood pressure.

Also known as cervical spondylosis, it is a disease based on degenerative pathological changes. It is mainly caused by long-term strain of the cervical spine, bone hyperplasia, or herniated disc, ligament thickening, which leads to compression of the cervical spinal cord, nerve roots or vertebral arteries, resulting in a clinical syndrome of a series of functional disorders. The main symptoms of cervical spondylosis are neck and shoulder pain, numbness and weakness in the upper or lower limbs, difficulty walking, and dizziness. It can occur at any age, but is more common in middle-aged and elderly people over 40 years old. Its onset is relatively hidden, the course of the disease is long, and if not treated in time, it will leave neurological symptoms. Cervical spondylosis can be divided into: cervical type cervical spondylosis, nerve root type cervical spondylosis, spinal cord type cervical spondylosis, vertebral artery type cervical spondylosis, sympathetic nerve type cervical spondylosis, and esophageal compression type cervical spondylosis.

The pathogenesis of cervical spondylosis is the change of physiological curvature. Some cervical spine examinations can be done, such as cervical spine X-rays, CT, MRI, etc. to confirm the location of compression and provide symptomatic treatment.

Cervical spondylosis should pay attention to the following points in daily life:

1. Do not sleep on your stomach, and the pillow should not be too high, too hard or too flat.

2. Avoid and reduce acute injuries, such as avoiding lifting heavy objects and emergency braking.

3. Prevent wind and cold, humidity, and avoid taking a bath or being blown by wind and cold at midnight or early morning. Wind and cold can cause local blood vessels to contract, blood flow to decrease, hindering tissue metabolism and waste removal, and humidity can hinder skin evaporation.

4. Correct bad posture and reduce strain. Every time you lower or raise your head for 1-2 hours, you need to do neck exercises to reduce muscle tension. To prevent the occurrence of cervical spondylosis, the most important thing is to improve your sitting posture. When you are working hard, you can also do shoulder and neck exercises intermittently.
