Moles are very common and are generally caused by an excess of local melanocytes. It is generally benign. The commonly used methods of mole removal are as follows: laser method, freezing method, electrocautery method, spot removal machine method and chemical agent method.

2. Several common methods of removing moles

1. Chemical etching method

Indications: Moles with lighter color and shallow location.

Method: Apply 50% trinitrocarbonic acid solution or alkaline agents such as sodium hydroxide on the mole.

Advantages: Trinitrocarbonic acid solution is not easy to burn the skin and cause scars; sodium hydroxide alkaline solution is highly corrosive and takes effect quickly.

2. Electric burning method

Indications: Moles with a diameter of 0.3 to 0.5 cm.

Method: Use the principle of electric high-temperature burning to remove the mole by burning and carbonization.

Advantages: Easy to operate.

Disadvantages: It is difficult to control the degree of burning and it is easy to leave scars.

3. Freezing method

Indications: Flat moles with a diameter of 0.3 to 0.5 cm, including freckles.

Method: Use liquid nitrogen to freeze the cells around the mole, causing them to form blisters and then fall off on their own.
