Where is the Du Meridian?

We often hear doctors say that there is a Du meridian in the human body, but we don’t know where exactly this place is, so it has always been unknown or incomprehensible to everyone. So when we want to massage the body or do some acupressure, we always can’t find the acupoints, which leads to the massage method not being carried out, or the massage effect is not good, etc. So where exactly is the Du meridian?

Structural features

According to the Yellow Emperor's Classic of Internal Medicine, Suwen, Chapter 60, "The Governor Vessel starts from the center of the bone below the lower abdomen. In women, it enters the foramen of the uterus, which is the end of the urinary foramen. Its collaterals run along the space between the genitals and the anus, around the anus, and around the buttocks. It joins the collaterals of Shaoyin and Juyang. Shaoyin goes up the inner and posterior edges of the thighs, penetrates the spine and belongs to the kidney. It starts from the inner canthus of the eye with Taiyang, goes up to the forehead and crosses the top of the head, goes up to the brain, then goes out and goes down the neck, along the shoulder blades, inward along the spine to the waist, and goes in along the lumbar spine to the kidney.

The men follow the penis down to the anus, which is the same as the women. The part that goes straight up from the lower abdomen passes through the center, goes through the heart and enters the throat, goes up to the chin and circles the lips, and is connected to the center under the eyes. This disease causes pain from the lower abdomen to the heart, and the patient cannot move forward or backward. It is called Chong hernia. Women with this disease will suffer from infertility, urinary incontinence, hemorrhoids, enuresis, and dry throat.

If the Du channel is sick, treat the Du channel, treating the bones, and in severe cases, treating the lower abdomen. If there is sound when breathing up, treat the center of the throat. If the disease is in the supraclavicular fossa, and it goes up to the throat, treat the Jian part. Jian refers to the part above the chin. "

According to this, the Du channel starts from the uterus in the lower abdomen, exits from the Qugu point on the body surface, goes down to the perineum, goes back to the Changqiang point in the middle of the waist and back to the coccyx, goes up along the spine, passes through the back of the neck to the Fengfu point.

acupoint, enter the brain, along the midline of the head, ascend to the Baihui point on the top of the head, go down through the forehead along the nose to the Suliao point on the nose tip, pass through the philtrum, and reach the Yinjiao point in the middle of the upper teeth. The Governor Vessel starts from Changqiang acupoint and ends at Yinjiao acupoint, which has 29 points in total, namely Changqiang, Yaoshu, Yaoyangguan, Mingmen, Xuanshu, Jizhong, Zhongshu, Jinsuo, Zhiyang, Lingtai, Shendao, Shenzhu, Taodao, Dazhui, Yamen, Fengfu, Naohu, Qiangjian, Houding, Baihui, Qianding, Xinhui, Shangxing, Shenting, Suoliao, Shuigou, Duiduan, Yinjiao and Yintang.

Branches

The first branch starts from the uterus together with the Chong and Ren meridians, comes out from the Qugu point on the body surface, goes down through the perineum, and meets the pulse of the Foot Shaoyin Kidney Meridian and the Foot Taiyang Bladder Meridian at the end of the coccyx, passes through the spine, and belongs to the kidney.

The second branch goes straight up from the lower abdomen through the navel, then upward through the heart, to the throat to join the Chong and Ren meridians, to the lower jaw, around the lips, to the center under the eyes.

The third branch starts from the inner corner of the eye together with the Urinary Bladder Meridian of Foot-Taiyang, goes up to the forehead, intersects at the top of the head, enters the brain, then goes out to the lower neck, along the inside of the shoulder blade, both sides of the spine, reaches the waist, enters the muscles on both sides of the spine, and connects with the kidneys.
