It is often used to treat chronic gastritis, gastric and duodenal ulcers, chronic hepatitis, chronic gastroenteritis, anemia, gastrointestinal weakness, poor appetite, vomiting, diarrhea, weakness and bleeding in the elderly, limb asthenia, hemorrhoids, prolapse of the anus, hemiplegia caused by stroke, enuresis and other symptoms of spleen and stomach qi deficiency. The standard secret recipe of Sijunzi Decoction: 9g each of wild ginseng, Atractylodes macrocephala, Poria cocos, and Coix seed, and 6g of licorice. In this recipe, the wild ginseng can be replaced by Codonopsis pilosula, and the licorice can be replaced by raw licorice. The effects and functions of Sijunzi Decoction: spleen and stomach qi deficiency syndrome. The face is sallow, the voice is low, the breath is short and weak, the appetite is poor and the stool is loose, the tongue is pale with white coating, and the pulse is weak. Doctors and experts say that the stomach and intestines are the foundation of our acquired constitution and the source of blood and qi biochemistry, and that strengthening the spleen and stomach is usually the "basic stage" for invigorating the body's qi and blood. Although this prescription contains only four Chinese medicinal ingredients, it best embodies the principles of monarch, minister, adjuvant and guiding principles in Chinese medical prescriptions. Panax ginseng is the main ingredient, which is pungent and warm to nourish blood, strengthen the spleen and stimulate appetite; Atractylodes macrocephala and Poria cocos are the secondary ingredients, which can strengthen the spleen and stomach and eliminate dampness, and enhance the effect of nourishing blood and promoting circulation; Coix seed is used as an auxiliary ingredient, which can strengthen the spleen and stomach and eliminate dampness. The combination of Poria and Atractylodes macrocephala has significant effects on strengthening the spleen and nourishing the stomach; Raw licorice is used to nourish blood, neutralize the syndrome, and harmonize the medicines. The four medicines work together to strengthen the gastrointestinal qi, restore the spleen's digestive and absorption functions, and nourish the blood. Clinical medicine has found that chronic gastritis, peptic ulcer, chronic colitis and other symptoms of spleen and stomach qi deficiency can all be treated with Sijunzi Decoction. |
