1. Pi Yi Wei San: 120g each of lotus seeds, Euryale ferox, lentil, coix seed, yam, Atractylodes macrocephala, and Poria cocos, and 15g of ginseng (or 60g of Codonopsis pilosula). Stir-fry and grind into powder. You can add appropriate amount of white sugar before use. Take 15 to 30 grams each time, mixed with warm water.

2. Lotus seed, lily and ophiopogon soup: 15 grams of lotus seeds (with core), 30 grams of lily, and 12 grams of ophiopogon. Add water and decoct.

3. Lotus seed cake: 200g each of lotus seeds and glutinous rice (or rice), stir-fry until fragrant; 100g of Poria cocos (peeled). Grind them into fine powder, add appropriate amount of white sugar, mix them together, add water to make it into a paste, steam it, and when it cools, flatten it and cut into pieces.

Originated from "Three Books on Scholars". Poria cocos is a spleen-tonifying and dampness-eliminating medicine. If it is steamed into a cake with lotus seeds and glutinous rice and eaten, it is especially effective in tonifying the spleen and benefiting the stomach. Used for weak spleen and stomach, indigestion, loose stools, etc.

4. Red dates, white fungus and lotus seeds soup: 100 grams of red dates, 50 grams of white fungus, 100 grams of lotus seeds, and appropriate amount of brown sugar. Wash the red dates, white fungus and lotus seeds and soak them in water. Add appropriate amount of water to the pot, put in 3 kinds of ingredients, cook until done, and add sugar to taste.

This recipe uses lotus seeds with core to clear the heart and calm the mind. Lily and Ophiopogon japonicus also have the effect of clearing the heart and calming the mind. It is used for residual heat after illness, insufficient heart yin, irritability, dry mouth, palpitations and insomnia, etc.

5. Honey Red Lotus: Stew the lotus seeds and red dates on low heat for 1 hour, then add sugar and lard, and simmer until the juice is dry before eating. It can be made into lotus seed and tremella soup by adding white fungus; it can be made into lotus seed and ginseng soup by steaming it with ginseng and appropriate amount of rock sugar; it can be made into lotus seed and longan soup by cooking it with longan, red dates and glutinous rice.

6. Lotus seed and red date soup: peel and cut two large pieces of lotus root into pieces, wash and drain; soak 4 liang of red dates and 2 liang of lotus seeds in water until soft, then pick them up;
