What does ligation mean?

Men's physical health has attracted a lot of attention, especially for urban men. Due to various reasons, they are prone to some diseases. These diseases are relatively harmful to men's physical health, so treatment should be carried out in time. So what does ligation mean? Ligation is also a good minor operation. When performing such an operation, men also need to understand it.

When many men undergo vasectomy, they are not very clear about the operation, so it is easy to affect the body during the operation, making it difficult to recover in the future. So what does vasectomy mean?

What does ligation mean?

The most common sterilization procedure for men is vasectomy. The section of the vas deferens inside the scrotum is relatively free and can be easily touched through a layer of skin. It feels as thick as a matchstick and is a hard and tough tube. Accompanying it is a bundle of soft tissue that contains veins, arteries, and nerve fibers, collectively known as the spermatic cord in medicine. During the operation, only the vasectomy tube is tied, while the blood vessels and nerves are kept intact. During the operation, the doctor uses the thumb and index finger of his left hand to pinch the vas deferens through the skin of the scrotum and slowly squeezes the tube under the skin, taking special care not to pinch the contents of the spermatic cord. After injecting anesthetic into the local skin, the doctor uses a knife to make a small incision of about half a centimeter in the skin, and then ties the two ends with silk thread.

Through the above introduction, we have some understanding of what sterilization means. Many men choose sterilization because they are afraid of women getting pregnant, or because their wives are in poor health and do not want them to get pregnant. This prevents sperm from appearing, thus preventing women from getting pregnant. This is a form of contraception.
