Treatment of jaundice

Treatment of jaundice

Jaundice is a common symptom and sign that is mainly caused by metabolic disorders. The main areas that can be caused by the increase are the eyes, mucous membranes, skin and other tissues that are stained yellow. They are all in life. The onset of the disease is also a key word. At what time is it now? There are many main diseases, mainly liver diseases, bile duct diseases and some blood system diseases.

Pancreatic diseases, obstetric diseases, and neonatal diseases can also cause jaundice, so jaundice must be treated in a timely manner, because jaundice caused by certain drugs is mainly called drug-induced jaundice. The symptoms of jaundice are mainly fever, itchy skin, and yellow urine and feces.

(1) Hormone therapy trial: Oral administration of prednisone 10-15 mg, 3 times a day, for 5-7 days. After treatment, serum bilirubin in patients with intrahepatic cholestasis is often reduced by more than 40%-50% compared with before treatment. However, for patients with extrahepatic cholestasis, the bilirubin level does not decrease significantly after treatment. However, this test may have false positives or false negatives, so caution should be exercised when judging the results.

(2) Phenobarbital treatment trial: Phenobarbital has an inducing effect on glucuronyl transferase in liver microsomes and Na-K-ATPase in hepatocytes, and promotes the transport and excretion of bile. Oral administration of phenobarbital 30-60 mg, 3-4 times/d for 7 days is effective for intrahepatic cholestasis. The evaluation or judgment of its efficacy is the same as that of the prednisone test.

(3) Ursodeoxycholic acid (UDCA): Ursodeoxycholic acid stimulates bile secretion, reduces the retention of hydrophobic bile acids, and facilitates their conversion to hydrophilic bile acids, thereby reducing cytotoxicity, protecting liver cells, and protecting bile duct epithelial cells from damage by hydrophobic bile acids. Therefore, it can be used to treat intrahepatic cholestasis. The commonly used dose of ursodeoxycholic acid is 10 mg/(kg·d). For example, the combined use of ursodeoxycholic acid with methylprednisolone (cordnisolone) and other drugs can significantly enhance the therapeutic effect.

The above are the treatment methods for jaundice. At the same time, loss of appetite, gastrointestinal bleeding, and some skin and neonatal diseases can also cause jaundice. Therefore, jaundice must be treated in time. Therefore, the use of medication in daily life is also very important. In terms of treatment, you should eat more foods with high nutritional value. At least my chicken is more economical.
