Advanced bladder cancer

Advanced bladder cancer

When it comes to cancer, many people certainly don’t want to get it. Because in our impression, cancer is an incurable disease, and once cancer is discovered, most of the time it is in the late stages and the person will die within a short period of time. So we are quite shocked when we hear that someone has cancer. If you know you have cancer, you will definitely feel like the end of the world has come. Many people cannot accept this fact because we feel that we live a very regular life, so how could we get such a disease?

Bladder cancer is a type of cancer. After suffering from bladder cancer, you may initially feel discomfort in the urethra when urinating, and then some blood in the urine may appear. If this happens, you must pay attention, as it is very likely that a tumor is causing the problem. To learn more about the symptoms, please take a look at the relevant symptoms below.

1. Hematuria: Bladder cancer often presents with hematuria as the first symptom. It can be seen with the naked eye or under the microscope, and female symptoms account for 94%. Hematuria is usually painless, intermittent, and continuous, and sometimes accompanied by blood clots. The diversity of hematuria can easily lead to misdiagnosis. For example, intermittent hematuria is often considered to be the end of the disease when hematuria stops, and further treatment is not given in time. In addition, the amount of hematuria and the duration of hematuria are related to the malignancy of the tumor and the size, range, and number of the tumor.

2. Urinary tract irritation: Urinary tract irritation symptoms rarely occur in early bladder cancer. They can appear earlier when accompanied by urinary tract infection or tumors occur in the bladder triangle. In addition, bladder irritation symptoms also reveal the possibility of bladder carcinoma in situ. Therefore, patients with bladder irritation who lack evidence of infection should actively undergo a comprehensive examination to make an early diagnosis.

3. Others: If the tumor is large, or occurs at the neck of the bladder, or blood clots form and block the urethra, urinary difficulties and urine retention may occur; when the cancer metastasizes or invades the rectum, symptoms such as urgent, frequent, and loose stools may occur; when it metastasizes to the liver, lungs, and bones, corresponding symptoms may occur; when the tumor grows at one ureteral opening, it causes ureteral infiltration, which may cause one ureteral dilatation and hydronephrosis; in the late stage of the disease, cachexia symptoms such as anemia and weight loss may occur. Some cases seek medical attention with metastasis symptoms as the first symptom, so we need to be more vigilant.

Since the causes of bladder cancer are very complex, we cannot specifically say what causes it, because some people may already have cancer cells in their bodies, but these are not detected when they are healthy. That’s why many diseases occur so suddenly that people are completely unprepared. Therefore, I hope everyone can have a physical examination every year to check if there is any abnormality in the body.
