Symptoms of Skin Cancer

Symptoms of Skin Cancer

When it comes to cancer, people always seem to be afraid of it. Not only because of the serious harm that cancer does to people, but also because of the terrible way that cancer destroys people's will and perseverance. Everything has a cause and effect relationship. People cannot deny the existence of this disease, but they can avoid the occurrence of this disease within their ability. This requires people to develop a good attitude towards life in their daily lives and stay away from carcinogens and carcinogenic habits.

Skin cancer is a type of cancer. The damage it causes to a person's self-confidence and self-esteem far exceeds the damage it causes to the skin itself. So, what are the symptoms of skin cancer that are enough to destroy a person's self-confidence and self-esteem?

The early manifestations of skin cancer are mostly erythematous skin lesions accompanied by scaly desquamation or crust formation. It is not only difficult to distinguish its histological type by naked eye observation, but it is also easily confused with benign skin diseases such as psoriasis and eczema. It often requires pathological examination to confirm the diagnosis.

Common clinical manifestations of skin cancer:

1. Squamous cell carcinoma

It can be transformed from keratosis, leukoplakia and other precancerous diseases. It grows rapidly and forms ulcers at an early stage. Some are nodular or cauliflower-shaped, with less deep invasion and a movable base; others are butterfly-shaped, with more obvious deep infiltration and great destructiveness, often involving bones. Squamous cell carcinoma is often accompanied by purulent infection, with a foul odor and pain. Regional lymph node metastasis is common.

2. Basal cell carcinoma

There are often no symptoms at the onset. In the early stages, most of the rashes are plaque-like papules with a hard base, and some are wart-like protrusions. They then break down into ulcers, which are irregular, have raised edges, uneven bottoms, and grow slowly. Metastasis is extremely rare. First, a shallow ulcer with a translucent nodular protrusion on the edge occurs, which then gradually expands and may invade surrounding tissues and organs, becoming an invasive ulcer.

After learning about some of the symptoms of skin cancer, it seems even more creepy. Therefore, in our daily lives, we must develop good habits of hygiene and cleanliness to nip this disease in the bud. To love yourself and care about life should start from living habits!
