How long can you live with a tumor in your stomach?

People often feel scared when they hear the word "tumor" because most people believe that tumors are malignant tumors that can cause great harm to the human body. Tumors can grow in any part of the human body. If a tumor grows in the abdomen, it is a tumor of the gastrointestinal organs. Some people even wonder how long they can live if they develop a tumor in their stomach.

First , pain. Generally, benign tumors do not have obvious symptoms. Malignant tumors usually cause more obvious pain. There may be local tingling (kidney cancer), dull pain (gallbladder cancer), burning pain (gastric cancer), or radiating pain (pancreatic cancer), which are particularly obvious at night.

The second obstruction usually causes obstruction of hollow organs when the tumor grows bigger. Gastric cancer can cause pyloric obstruction and vomiting, colorectal cancer can cause intestinal obstruction, pancreatic cancer can cause jaundice, and kidney cancer can cause urinary retention.

The third symptom of ulcer bleeding often appears in the late stage. Because the tumor on the body surface or in the hollow organs grows too fast, it will cause local blood supply deficiency, which will lead to necrosis and ulcers, accompanied by a foul odor and bloody secretions.

The fourth symptom of metastasis is that malignant tumors spread directly, through blood or lymph node metastasis and implantation metastasis. If the tumor metastasizes to the lymph nodes, the lymph nodes in that area will swell. Bone metastasis, lung metastasis and other phenomena may also occur.

Patients should know that there are many types of abdominal tumors, including those within the abdominal cavity and the pelvic cavity, and both benign and malignant. In this case, surgical resection is recommended, followed by a pathological examination. If the tumor is benign, there will be no problem. If the tumor is malignant, radiotherapy or chemotherapy will be required.

It is recommended that patients choose treatment methods under the guidance of a doctor, and family members must guide patients to maintain a calm attitude, strengthen nutrition, actively participate in physical exercise, strengthen physical fitness, take medication on time, and have regular check-ups.
