The difference between B-ultrasound and color ultrasound

Color ultrasound is a further development of B-ultrasound technology. The main difference between it and B-ultrasound is the color of the picture. The fetal image taken by color ultrasound is relatively clear and accompanied by color, while the fetal image taken by B-ultrasound technology is black and white and the image is relatively blurred. With the continuous improvement of our living economy, many families will choose color ultrasound technology to observe the development of the fetus.

Color ultrasound and B-ultrasound are two technologies that are mainly used to analyze the development of the fetus in our abdomen. Therefore, we recommend that everyone should have a certain degree of selectivity between these two technologies in life. Those with better living conditions are generally recommended to use color ultrasound.

B-ultrasound has gone through three stages of development. The earliest one used was black and white ultrasound diagnostic technology, which is now ordinary B-ultrasound. The images measured by the ultrasound probe are black and white and can only observe the fetal tissue structure and measure the size of the head and the length of the body.

Color B-ultrasound. In the 1980s, color-Doppler ultrasound detection and diagnosis technology appeared on the basis of ordinary B-ultrasound. The observed images are mainly red and blue, with red appearing towards the probe and blue away from it. This technology can observe the blood flow of the fetus, which is helpful for timely detection of fetal abnormalities. For example, if there is a blood flow ring in the fetus's neck, it means that the umbilical cord has been wrapped around the neck, which can lead to death from suffocation.

Simply put, color ultrasound is high-definition black and white B-ultrasound plus color Doppler. First, let's talk about ultrasonic frequency shift diagnosis, that is, D-ultrasound. This method uses the principle of Doppler effect. When there is relative motion between the sound source and the receiver (that is, the probe and the reflector), the frequency of the echo changes. This frequency change is called frequency shift. D-ultrasound includes pulse Doppler, continuous Doppler and color Doppler blood flow images.

B-ultrasound is a medical examination item that patients often encounter when they visit the doctor. In clinical practice, color ultrasound is widely used in the diagnosis of cardiology, gastroenterology, urology, and obstetrics and gynecology diseases. Generally speaking, the radiation from color ultrasound is greater than that from black and white B-ultrasound. Doctors usually do not do color ultrasound in the early stages of pregnancy. They will do black and white B-ultrasound to determine the fetal pregnancy status. Black and white B-ultrasound has less radiation to the fetus. Color Doppler Ultrasound will be done in the mid-term.

The article introduces in detail the main differences between B-ultrasound and color ultrasound. I hope you can learn more about them in your life. This will be helpful for you to use these two technologies in your life. If you want to see clearer images in your life, we recommend that you use color ultrasound.
