Symptoms of parasitic urinary tract infection

Symptoms of parasitic urinary tract infection

There are many types of urinary tract infections. In fact, no matter what type of disease it is, it needs to be discovered and treated in time to restore health. Parasitic urinary tract infection is a type of urinary tract infection. No matter what type of disease it is, it has unique symptoms. Only in this way can we distinguish what kind of disease it is and effectively carry out the corresponding treatment plan.

Only by clearly understanding the symptoms of the disease can we promptly determine what type of disease we have so that we can receive timely treatment. Treatment is the only way to recover from disease. No matter what kind of disease it is, you need to know the cause and symptoms before treatment. So what are the symptoms of a parasitic urinary tract infection?

Clinical manifestations

1. Trichomonas urinary tract infection

The clinical manifestations are exactly the same as those of bacterial urinary tract infection. Female patients mostly present with vaginitis: increased leucorrhea, itching of the vulva, and even itching of the vaginal opening. There may be lower urinary tract symptoms: mainly urinary tract irritation symptoms such as frequent urination, urgency, pain when urinating, and a burning sensation in the urethra after urination. Male patients are mostly accompanied by balanitis. Most people with lower urinary tract infection discharge a small amount of purulent secretions in the morning urine and feel itchy in the urethra. If the bladder is affected, there will be discomfort above the pubic bone, often terminal hematuria, and a small amount of milky white secretions may flow out after urination. Trichomonas pyelonephritis is often accompanied by chills, fever, abdominal pain, pyuria and hematuria. Some patients may have no systemic symptoms or urinary tract irritation symptoms.

2. Urinary tract amebiasis

The clinical symptoms vary depending on the site and route of infection, and are non-specific, similar to common bacterial urinary tract infections. The lesions are divided into the following types according to their clinical manifestations:

(1) Amebic cystitis and urethritis: caused by enterovesical fistula or ascending urinary tract infection. There are symptoms such as frequent urination, urgent urination, painful urination, and pain in the bladder area before and after urination. Those with kidney infection may also have chills, high fever, low back pain, and percussion pain in the kidney area.

(2) Amoebic renal abscess or perinephric abscess: caused by blood infection or amoebic abscess of the liver or colon that penetrates into the kidney. Its main clinical manifestations include chills, fever, low back pain, tenderness and percussion pain in the renal area, tension in the lumbar muscles in the renal area, and possible palpation of a local tumor.

3. Urinary filariasis

Filariasis is lymphangitis and lymphatic vessel obstruction caused by adult and larvae of Wuchereria bancrofti and their metabolites. It often occurs in the limbs, causing elephantiasis, hydrocele and local lymphangiectasia. Some patients develop varicocele, epididymitis and orchitis. If the lesion blocks the thoracic duct or the cisterna chyli, the distal lymphatic vessels will dilate and rupture, communicating with the urinary tract, and lymph fluid will enter the urinary tract to form chyluria. Varicose lymphatic vessels can penetrate into the renal calyces, renal pelvis, ureters and bladder, but most of them penetrate into the renal pelvis.

The above describes the symptoms of parasitic urinary tract infection. Only by correctly understanding the symptoms of parasitic urinary tract infection can we study treatment methods. Only by treating the disease can patients recover faster and return to a healthy state. Symptoms are the only way to identify a disease. Only by correctly diagnosing the type of disease can treatment be given.
