Is it easy to have a retroverted uterus?

Is it easy to have a retroverted uterus?

The position of the uterus is different for each woman, some are anterior and some are posterior. But is it easy to give birth naturally with a retroverted uterus? In fact, this question makes no sense, because natural delivery is related to many factors and is not determined by whether the uterus is anterior or posterior. For women who have a successful natural birth, what needs to be considered is the width of their pelvis, whether they exercise regularly, and whether the fetal position is normal.

Does retroverted uterus affect normal delivery?

Whether or not a natural birth is possible is not entirely determined by the position of the uterus, but mainly depends on the width of the pelvis, the position of the baby and uterine contractions.

There are many cases of natural birth with retroverted uterus, but if the retroverted uterus is congenital or very severe, it will affect the position of the fetus and the way and direction of the fetus' birth canal, so it depends on the situation.

Anteverted and posterior uterus are just issues of the position of the uterus. Generally, we can divide the position into anterior uterus, posterior uterus and horizontal uterus. If your fetus is in a normal position, you can give birth naturally. Anteverted uterus and retroverted uterus are the positions of the uterus, which only refers to conception. Retroverted uterus is not easy to conceive. It doesn't matter, it won't affect normal delivery.

Does retroverted uterus affect pregnancy?

Under normal circumstances, the position of the uterus is anteverted and anteflexed, that is, the uterine body tilts forward and the cervix moves backward and downward, making the uterine body anteflexed. The cause of retroverted uterus is often related to sleeping posture. If these women insist on sleeping in prone position or chest-knee side-lying position for a long time, the position of the uterus can be corrected. This method can be cured without special treatment, and the rectal irritation symptoms caused by the retroverted uterus can completely disappear.

However, in some posterior uteri, the external cervical os points upward, which is not conducive to the smooth upward movement of sperm through the cervical os into the uterine cavity and reach the fallopian tube, thus affecting conception. Under normal circumstances, when the woman lies on her back and has sex with the man, the head of the man's penis usually cannot reach the cervical opening, but is located in the gap (posterior fornix) behind the cervix deep in the vagina. Semen is also ejaculated here. If the opening of the cervix is facing the posterior wall of the vagina, it can be immersed in semen, which is conducive to the sperm passing through the cervical opening to meet the egg and achieve conception. If the uterus is tilted too far forward or backward, the cervical opening will have difficulty being immersed in semen, and the chance of conception will be significantly reduced.

If hormone levels are normal, ovulation is normal, and the uterus is normal and slightly small, conception is still possible. You can check it based on the size of your uterus. If your uterus is small, you can try combining Chinese and Western medicine for early treatment to give women the chance to become pregnant and give birth.

Retroverted uterus has basically no effect on women's pregnancy, and many women with retroverted uterus can become pregnant normally. Therefore, people with retroverted uterus do not need to worry about pregnancy problems, nor do they need to deliberately correct this problem through exercise or treatment. As long as other indicators are normal, they can prepare for pregnancy like other women. If infertility occurs in the future, go to a regular hospital for a comprehensive gynecological examination.
