What to do if a little girl has hernia? Hernia treatment

Hernia is one of the common surgical diseases. It is generally a common disease in boys, but some girls also suffer from this disease. Hernia in girls will not only affect their daily life, but may also damage their ovaries and fallopian tubes, affecting their future reproductive function. So how can a little girl's hernia be treated?

1: What causes hernia in girls?

1: Hernia is a surgical disease, which is mostly caused by weak parts or gaps in the abdominal wall, causing the internal organs or tissues to move out of their normal positions and form a bulge on the body surface. This is hernia.

2: Is hernia dangerous for girls?

1: When a girl gets a hernia, the first thing she will feel is pain. In addition to the pain, it will also affect the digestive system. For some children, the contents of the femoral hernia are the ovaries and fallopian tubes, which will affect the child's reproductive function. If not treated in time, it will cause lifelong regrets.

III: Treatment of hernia in girls

1: Hernia surgery is a relatively traditional treatment method. The abdominal wall after surgery is like a repaired tire. The damaged area is still prone to rupture, often causing hernia recurrence and other dangers. The recurrence rate will be higher if surgery is performed again after recurrence. Some patients have undergone two or three surgeries and still cannot completely solve the problem.

2: Girls' hernia does not necessarily require surgical treatment. In addition to surgical treatment, there is also a conservative treatment method, the magnetic therapy hernia belt, which can also cure hernia. As long as the hernia bulge of the girl patient can return to its original position and disappear, the magnetic therapy hernia belt can be used for conservative treatment. It not only has good treatment effects, but also is not prone to recurrence after treatment. It is currently the most effective conservative treatment method.

3: Most umbilical hernias heal spontaneously within one year of age through gradual contraction of the umbilical fascial ring. Therefore, before the age of 2, unless the baby is incarcerated, observation and waiting can be done. Use non-surgical treatment to promote spontaneous healing. If the child is over 2 years old and the diameter of the umbilical hernia exceeds 1.5 cm, surgical treatment is recommended. A semicircular incision was made along the navel 1 cm away from the umbilicus, and the skin and subcutaneous tissue were cut to expose the anterior rectus sheath, hernia ring and hernia sac. A midline incision was made on the linea alba to free the hernia sac and return the hernia contents. After partially removing part of the hernia sac at the hernia ring, the hernia was sutured and then the edges of the rectus sheath on both sides (i.e., the abdominal linea) were intermittently sutured. Finally, the skin was sutured.

4: Smaller umbilical hernias, such as those with a diameter less than 1.5 cm, can usually heal themselves within 2 years of age as the abdominal wall strengthens with development. Since umbilical hernia in infants rarely becomes incarcerated, non-surgical treatment can be given first, using adhesive tape therapy. That is, a wide strip of adhesive tape is used to pull the two sides of the abdominal wall toward the midline of the abdomen to prevent the hernia from protruding and to put the navel in a tension-free state, allowing the umbilical opening to gradually heal and close. Change the tape once a week. If you have tape dermatitis, you can use a belly bandage to apply appropriate pressure.

Four: Whether the hernia is a boy or

Girls can all be treated conservatively, but if the treatment is too late, even if it can be treated conservatively, it will have a great impact on the body. In any case, early treatment is much better than late treatment.
