Cervical gland cysts are a manifestation of chronic cervicitis. This is mainly because the glandular duct opening of the cervical gland is blocked or the glandular duct is narrowed or even blocked, and the glandular secretions cannot be discharged smoothly, but are retained in the gland to form a cyst. So what are the clinical symptoms of this disease? Cervical gland cyst Abbreviated as "Nan Nang", it is a type of cervicitis. It usually occurs during the healing process of cervicitis, when the secretions in the cervical glands are blocked by excessive proliferation of new squamous epithelium and the cervical gland ducts are formed into cystic tumors. There may be no clinical symptoms, but inflammation may be accompanied by increased vaginal discharge, with or without an odor. Traditional Chinese medicine calls the symptomatic condition "leucorrhea." Most patients with cervical cysts have no clinical symptoms and are discovered accidentally during physical examination and do not require special treatment. If the glandular cyst is large and accompanied by uncomfortable symptoms such as increased leucorrhea, it must be treated promptly. Cervical polyps Cervical polyps are a manifestation of chronic cervicitis and are more common in women of childbearing age. Cervical polyps are composed of a stroma of connective tissue rich in blood vessels and covered with columnar and squamous epithelium. The occurrence of cervical polyps is the result of long-term stimulation of chronic inflammation. Cervical polyps are benign lesions of the cervix, but they may also become malignant, usually in a rate of <1%. The most common malignant transformation is squamous cell carcinoma, and adenocarcinoma may sometimes occur. symptom 1. Very small cervical polyps often have no subjective symptoms and are mostly discovered during gynecological examinations. 2. Larger polyps are more likely to cause bloody leucorrhea or contact bleeding, especially after sexual intercourse or straining during bowel movements. Minor bleeding may occur. 3. These symptoms are very similar to those of early cervical cancer and should be checked and treated promptly. Kind tips: Chronic inflammation of the cervix is not easy to eliminate, and persistent inflammation can still cause recurrence of polyps. Therefore, after the removal of cervical polyps, patients should not take it lightly and should seek follow-up visits in time to prevent recurrence of the disease. |
