What are the symptoms of pelvic venous congestion syndrome?

Pelvic congestion syndrome is characterized by widespread chronic pain. So-called chronic pain refers to various forms of pain that last for more than half a year, with a frequency of no less than 5 days a week and a pain duration of no less than 4 hours a day. So what are the common symptoms of this disease?

1. Lower abdominal pain

Most cases are chronic diffuse pain in the upper area of the auricular joint, or pain in the lower abdomen on both sides, which is often more severe on one side and affects the same side or lower limbs at the same time, starting in the middle of the menstrual cycle.

2. Breast pain caused by blood stasis

More than 70% of patients experience congestive breast pain and swelling. The patient can feel the breast lump and tenderness. It usually appears after the middle of the menstrual period along with the above symptoms, and reaches its peak on the day before menstruation or the first day of menstruation. After menstruation, the above symptoms are alleviated or disappear completely.

3. More than half of them have dysmenorrhea symptoms

Lower abdominal pain begins several days before menstruation. Pain in the lumbar region or pain in the pelvic cavity, some of which gradually turn into spasmodic pain.

4. Bladder and urethra symptoms

About one-third of patients have obvious symptoms of frequent urination and painful urination during the premenstrual period, and are often suspected of urinary tract infection, but routine urine tests are normal. Further cystoscopic examination of some patients with severe symptoms may reveal that the veins in the bladder trigone are filled, congested and edematous. In some patients, rupture of small veins caused by congestion may lead to hematuria.

5. Sexiness is not fun

Women with pelvic congestion syndrome experience varying degrees of pain during sexual intercourse, mostly deep pain, which can be almost unbearable. Not only is it painful at the time, but symptoms such as lower abdominal pain, back pain, and excessive vaginal discharge are also significantly aggravated the next day.

In order to avoid serious infection caused by pelvic congestion syndrome in women, if symptoms of the disease appear, treatment must be sought as soon as possible, and attention should be paid to the prevention methods of pelvic congestion syndrome and active prevention and treatment of the disease.
