Early symptoms of esophageal tumor, early detection and early treatment

The incidence of esophageal tumor is getting higher and higher, and this tumor is malignant. If it can be discovered and treated scientifically in the early stage, it can inhibit the deterioration of the disease. In the early stage of esophageal tumor, there will be obvious symptoms such as foreign body sensation in the esophagus and throat pain.

1. Food descends slowly and there is a feeling of stagnation. Patients feel that food is not as smooth as before when passing through the esophagus. Food descends slowly and even stays somewhere. This feeling has nothing to do with the nature of the food, and sometimes it can also occur when drinking water.

2. The throat may feel dry and tight, with slight pain, which is sometimes related to the patient's emotional fluctuations.

3. There is a feeling of stuffiness behind the sternum. Patients often cannot describe this feeling specifically, and only say that the chest is stuffy and uncomfortable.

4. Pain behind the sternum and pain in the esophagus when swallowing are also common symptoms. Pain behind the breastbone or in the esophagus when eating, which may feel like burning, tingling, pulling, or rubbing. The pain is more severe when swallowing rough or hot foods in large mouthfuls, and less severe when swallowing thin or warm or cold foods in small mouthfuls. The location of pain is usually higher than the actual location of the tumor. For tumors in the lower esophagus, pain may occur in the upper abdomen. The pain may subside after a few days or with medication. The pain reappears when eating improperly or when experiencing emotional fluctuations. This situation will repeat itself.

5. Patients with foreign body sensation in the esophagus feel that the food they ingested was rough and hard and scratched the esophagus, and some food stuck to the esophageal wall and could not be swallowed.

6. The most common symptom is choking when swallowing food. Some patients can even clearly recall when it first happened. These symptoms may disappear on their own without treatment, but may reappear after a few days or months, and their frequency and severity of choking sensation may gradually increase.

Finally, a special reminder is that if the above early symptoms of esophageal cancer persist for more than 2 months, you must pay attention to it and come to the hospital for diagnosis and examination as soon as possible to avoid developing into severe esophageal cancer and missing the best time for treatment.
