Will long menstruation delay ovulation?

Will long menstruation delay ovulation?

The most representative event for physically mature women is the arrival of menstruation, because only when menstruation comes can the ovaries have the function of ovulation, so that they can have children. Every woman's menstrual period is different. Generally, a normal female menstrual cycle is 28 to 35 days. Some women have longer menstrual cycles due to physical, environmental and other issues. Will ovulation be late due to a long menstrual period? The ovulation period is calculated based on the menstrual cycle, so of course it will be late.

1. If ovulation is late, will menstruation also be late?

The ovulation period is about 14 days before the next menstruation, so if ovulation is advanced, the menstruation will also be advanced, and if ovulation is delayed, the menstruation will also be delayed.

During the pregnancy preparation period, you should pay attention to rest, avoid overwork and strenuous exercise. If your next menstrual period is delayed for more than a week, use a test strip to confirm whether you are pregnant.

It is possible. For women with regular menstruation, you calculate when the next menstruation will come, and subtract 14 days from the first day of the next menstruation. This day is the ovulation day. If the woman's menstrual cycle is 28 days, her ovulation day should be around the 14th day of the menstrual cycle; if the woman's menstrual cycle is 40 days, her ovulation day should be around the 26th day of the menstrual cycle (about 14 days before the next menstruation). The 4 days before and 5 days after the ovulation day are the dangerous period (ovulation period). It is easy to get pregnant. The dates other than the dangerous period are the safe period. But the risk is small, and there is still a possibility of pregnancy. Generally speaking, the 3 days after menstruation and the 3 days before menstruation are absolutely safe periods and you will not get pregnant.

The menstrual cycle is 40 days long, and ovulation and conception are 12 days later than those with a 28-day menstrual cycle. Therefore, after pregnancy, the baby will be 12 days younger than the normal gestational age (referring to the time of amenorrhea) mentioned in the prenatal examination, which is nearly 2 weeks. That is about 2 weeks shorter than the normal gestational age. Every time we talk about the gestational age, we are referring to the menstrual cycle which is 28 days.

2. Symptoms of leucorrhea during ovulation

The main symptoms of leucorrhea during ovulation are that the leucorrhea increases in volume, becomes clearer in color, thinner and more elastic. The changes in the symptoms of leucorrhea during the ovulation period indicate the arrival of the ovulation period, thus determining whether you are already in the ovulation period. Having sex at this time can increase the chance of conception. If the couple has no plans to have children, they should avoid having sex during the ovulation period to prevent pregnancy.

The symptoms of leucorrhea change during ovulation. This is because the estrogen level in the body increases, which promotes the proliferation of epithelial cells in the cervical glands, increases the secretion of cervical mucus, and increases the sodium chloride content in the mucus, which can absorb more water. As a result, women's leucorrhea becomes mucous near ovulation, and becomes clearer, smoother and more elastic, just like egg white, and has the characteristics of high stringiness and not easy to break. The last day of this mucus appearance, within 48 hours is the day of ovulation.

During ovulation, the leucorrhea is transparent, and you can feel a stringy sensation when you pull it apart with your fingers. This is information about the day around ovulation, which is also the period when the chance of pregnancy is relatively high. After ovulation, more than 4 days after the ovulation period until the next menstruation, it is the luteal phase with a low chance of pregnancy.
