What should I do if I have knee joint pain?

People need to walk every day, and the knee, as a joint in the human body that bears a huge amount of weight, is very prone to some adverse conditions. Some elderly people experience knee pain due to their age, which seriously affects their daily activities. Some young people also suffer from knee pain due to calcium deficiency, which may even cause them to stagnate in the future, greatly affecting their body shape. So, how should you deal with knee pain?

Knee pain treatment:

1 Depending on the cause of the condition, treatment usually includes pain relief and treatment of the cause. If the patient feels pain, he or she may take anti-inflammatory or analgesic drugs appropriately. If the patient can tolerate it, he should not take too much painkillers. Anti-inflammatory and analgesic drugs can cause gastritis, stomach pain, and damage the liver. During the pain, patients can apply cold compresses to the affected area and reduce activities such as squatting, running, jumping, and climbing stairs and ramps.

2 Treatment of the cause includes knee braces, orthotic shoe insoles, and exercises for the inner thigh muscles. During the acute phase, the knee should be cooled and a knee brace should be worn to stabilize the knee. Patients should also wear orthotic insoles as early as possible to improve incorrect biomechanics. After the acute phase, patients should exercise the inner thigh muscles and do stretching exercises. It is also very important to improve the posture when squatting or getting up from a chair.

3. Avoid climbing stairs when you have knee pain. Many people believe that exercising the knee joints can reduce pain. In fact, this is not the case. Knee pain is caused by severe damage to the knee joints. More friction will only cause greater damage and greater standing pain.

4. Take more calcium. Some people, such as the elderly, suffer from knee pain due to the decrease of organic matter and increase of inorganic matter in the body, so covering can increase the flexibility of bones.
