What are the traditional Chinese medicine treatments for scleroderma of fingers?

Digital scleroderma is a skin disease that occurs on the fingers. When a patient suffers from this disease, the skin on the fingers will become hard. There are two main types of finger scleroderma, namely localized scleroderma and systemic scleroderma. Regardless of the type of disease, it must be treated in time. In traditional Chinese medicine, scleroderma can be treated with three recipes: Shenfu Huiyang Decoction, Cordyceps Chicken Soup, and Angelica dahurica and Black Bean Soup.

1. Shenfu Huiyang Decoction

10g ginseng, 10g processed aconite, 30g dragon bone, 30g oyster, 50g light fermented black beans. First, boil the processed aconite, dragon bone and oyster in water, remove the residue and take the juice, add the fermented black beans and cook until soft. Boil the ginseng separately and combine the two liquids for consumption. Used for patients with spleen and kidney yang deficiency, cold stagnation and blood stasis. The ginseng in the soup is sweet and slightly bitter in nature, and enters the spleen and lung meridians, greatly replenishing vital energy, nourishing the lungs and spleen, and invigorating qi and producing body fluids; the cooked aconite is very pungent and hot, and enters the heart, spleen, and kidney meridians, restoring yang, replenishing fire, warming the middle and dispersing cold; longmu calms the mind and suppresses yang; and the light fermented black beans relieve exterior symptoms and eliminate restlessness.

2. Cordyceps Chicken Soup

15-20g Cordyceps sinensis, 10g longan meat, 15g jujube, and 1 chicken. Kill the chicken, clean it, remove the internal organs, remove the core of the jujube, put it into a clay pot together with the cordyceps and longan meat, add appropriate amount of water, simmer for about 3 hours, season and serve. Used for patients with lung, spleen and kidney deficiency. The Cordyceps in the soup is sweet and warm in nature, enters the lung and kidney meridians, nourishes the lungs and kidneys; the jujube is sweet and warm in nature, enters the spleen meridian, nourishes the spleen and kidneys, replenishes qi and produces body fluid; the longan meat is sweet and neutral in nature, enters the heart and spleen meridians, nourishes the heart and calms the mind, nourishes the blood and benefits the spleen; the chicken is sweet and warm in nature, enters the spleen and stomach meridians, benefits the five internal organs, controls the downward flow of qi, and treats nausea.

3. Duhuo Wudou Soup

9-12g of Angelica dahurica, 60g of black beans, and appropriate amount of rice wine. Soak the black beans until soft, put them in a clay pot together with the Angelica dahurica, add about 2000ml of water, simmer until 500ml is left, remove the residue, take the juice, add rice wine, and take it warm twice a day. Used for patients with wind, cold and dampness. The Duhuo in the soup is pungent, spicy and slightly warm, and is used to dispel wind and dampness, dispel cold and relieve pain, and is especially good at dispelling wind from the kidney meridian; the black beans are sweet and flat in nature, and are good at dispelling wind, promoting diuresis, activating blood circulation, detoxifying, and nourishing the kidneys. They can be used to assist in stewing Duhuo soup, with rice wine as the lead, which not only has the effects of dispelling wind and dampness, activating blood circulation and unblocking meridians, dispelling cold and removing numbness, but also supports the positive energy and restrains the pungent and dry nature of Duhuo.
