What causes pain in the ear piercing?

There are actually many reasons for ear hole pain. The most common disease is otitis media. Otitis media not only causes ear pain, but also causes tinnitus or hearing loss. These diseases have a great impact on the patient's daily life, so they need to be treated in time to avoid worsening of the disease and threaten ear health.

Causes of ear pain Ear pain is a common disease. The most common clinical disease is otitis media, an inflammatory lesion involving all or part of the structure of the middle ear, most of which are nonspecific inflammations. Its symptoms include ear pain, fever, chills, bitter taste in the mouth, red or yellow urine, constipation, and hearing loss. If the eardrum is perforated, pus will flow out of the ear and the pain will be relieved.

According to experts, ear pain may be a sign of hidden illness. So, what are the specific diseases? Ear pain is a very common symptom, almost everyone will experience it, and the main reason is otitis media. Otitis media is a common condition and its symptoms also include:

1. Hearing loss: decreased hearing and enhanced self-hearing. The symptoms are that turning the head sometimes improves the condition and sometimes causes blockage. If only one ear is affected, it may go unnoticed for a long time.

2. Earache: Acute otitis media will cause persistent dull earache or occasional cramping pain, while chronic otitis media patients will not have obvious earache. This disease may be accompanied by a feeling of blockage or stuffiness in the ear, which can be temporarily relieved by pressing the tragus.

3. Tinnitus: It is mostly low-pitched and intermittent, such as "crackling", buzzing and the sound of running water. When the head moves or when yawning or blowing the nose, a sound of air passing through water may be heard in the ears.

There are three situations when the ears are hot:

1. After strenuous exercise, your ears often feel hot. This is because when people exercise, their heart beats faster and supplies more blood to the muscles in their limbs. After physical exercise, the muscles need less blood, but the heart beat cannot slow down immediately, so more blood flows to the heart. The skin of the head and ears is very thin and filled with abundant blood vessels. When a large amount of blood flows through the ears, the blood vessels expand and become thicker, and the ears turn red. Because blood has a certain temperature, your ears will feel hot. As the heart gradually returns to normal, the blood vessels shrink and become thinner, the amount of blood on the ears decreases, and the ears no longer become hot.

2. In winter, when we return from the cold outdoors to the warm indoors, our ears become red and hot. This is because the blood vessels in the ear that contract when the temperature is low outdoors expand due to the rise in temperature indoors, and the blood flow speeds up, causing the ear to heat up.

3. Your ears may also feel hot when you are shy, have a heated argument with others, or encounter difficult questions in an exam, etc. This is because the cerebral cortex is highly excited or tense, which controls the nerves to cause the skin blood vessels to dilate, the heart rate to accelerate, and the blood flow to increase.
