What is cold air

Cold is a word that few people use nowadays, because this word may only appear in many middle-aged and elderly people. In fact, the so-called cold is mainly caused by the body being cold, so it will cause cold. Usually when we have a cold or joint pain caused by wind, it is the invasion of cold air. The symptoms caused by cold are clear runny nose, cough, dizziness, fever, and sore throat.

"Cold" is a term rarely used by modern people, but "cold" is familiar to everyone. A cold refers to symptoms such as sneezing, runny nose, cough, headache, fever, and sore throat. Cold is one of the real causes of colds. In traditional Chinese medicine, cold is not a very serious disease, but it has far-reaching effects and causes endless harm.

Cold air refers to what is produced when the human body is exposed to cold. From a physics point of view, heat is transferred between all adjacent objects, flowing from hotter objects to cooler ones. Therefore, when the human body is in a low temperature environment, the body's heat will continue to be lost until the human body is at the same temperature as the outside world.

A drop in body temperature, medically known as hypothermia, is a potentially fatal condition. Therefore, when the human body faces a low temperature environment, the first defense measure is to quickly and appropriately lower the body surface temperature, reduce the temperature difference between the human body and the outside world, and reduce the rate of heat loss, but the temperature that the human body can lower is very limited.

When heat is still lost rapidly, the human body will activate the second defense measure, which is to use chemical methods to burn certain substances to generate heat. This measure must be performed subcutaneously, close to the body surface, to prevent important organs in the body from hypothermia.

The substance that is burned is usually something in the body fluids that flow on the surface of the body. The combustion mentioned here is not exactly the same as the combustion we talk about in daily life. There is no real flame. It is just a chemical reaction between two different substances to generate heat.

The human body is a superb chemical magician. When bones are damaged by external force, internal bleeding will occur around the broken bones due to ruptured blood vessels, and the flowing blood will surround the broken bones. At this time, the human body will secrete a certain substance that changes the blood into bone cells, which quickly combine with the original bones and automatically repair the broken bones.

This method of repairing the human body is well known to modern medicine. If the human body can repair bones by converting blood into bone cells, it should be able to prevent heat loss by converting substances into heat.
